Trip Report Let's Meet Up in Disney! Where Else Would We Go?

It's the night before Crystal and I fly from the Lehigh Valley to Disney, and we couldn't be more excited. Maddy applied for the Disney College Alumni Program and is currently spending her second consecutive summer making magic in Disney. Last year, she worked at Be Our Guest. This year, she works with the characters, mainly in Hollywood Studios, but she's been in Epcot, Typhoon Lagoon, and tomorrow she'll be in Magic Kingdom. She finished her second year at the University of South Carolina, and will be starting this fall at Northen Arizona University in Flagstaff.

Brayden graduated from Florida State University just a few weeks ago and is currently working in Peoria, Arizona. So what better place for all four of us to meet up? Plus, Brayden's girlfriend, Bella, will be joining us for her first trip to Disney in a very long time!

Looking forward to meeting up with Madelyn tomorrow, and Brayden and Bella July 2.

Haha. Thanks. Crystal got this for me and I had never worn it before. I wasn't expecting the comments I got yesterday. It was nonstop for guests and CMs.

Dinner at Maya was excellent. We have stayed at Coronado numerous times and never went there. Now we are at Riverside, and finally tried it. Well worth the stop.

After dinner, the three of us walked around the resort, then Maddy drove us back to Riverside. We decided to sleep until 7 this morning before we head to MK to start the day, then AK this afternoon for Savoir the Savannah.

Crystal and made our way to Magic Kingdom and decided to visit Peter Pan first. We waited about 40 minutes, then walked to Under the Sea. Currently waiting at Dumbo for Maddy who is walking into the park now

After meeting up with Maddy to ride Dumbo, we walked to Haunted Mansion

We made our way from there to the monorail for lunch at Kona

Perfect timing, too, as it’s now raining!

Bad news. The only pictures I took.

We had three different sushi rolls, wings, and shrimp stir fry. Everything was good.

Currently on the bus from Poly to Animal Kingdom. We have Savor the Savanna later this afternoon before we return to Magic Kingdom this evening

Arrived at Animal Kingdom

And made our way to Dinoland

Before heading to Asia and a ride on Expedition Everest

Then grabbed a drink at Dawa Bar before checking in for Savor the Savanna

Savor the Savanna was amazing. Our guide, Riley, was excellent. Just a few pictures before we stopped at the overlook for food sand drinks

We stayed in this area for a nice amount of time and spoke with one of the keepers. We had such a close up experience with giraffes

The elephants loved the thunderstorm that rolled through. They played in the water and rolled in the dirt

It was then time to get back on the truck and continue our savanna tour.

We had great luck with white rhinos, but the lions stole the show

Riley pointed out this poster that Joe Rohde designed to put his signature on things in Animal Kingdom

We are currently on the bus back to Magic Kingdom for a few more rides and maybe fireworks

Didn’t take long for the rain to begin once we entered the Magic Kingdom. We headed for Tron first

Then we decided we weren’t up for our Space Mountain pass and made our way to Tiana

Crystal and Maddy got wet like they haven’t since the old days on Splash Mountain!

We then walked to Pirates for our next pass, but it was down. Since they were both very wet and it’s cool out with the storms, we decided to take the ferry to TTC and have Maddy drive us back to Riverside.

Good Morning and Happy Saturday! Maddy has work today, so Crystal and I decided to make today an easy day and sleep in. We are heading to Epcot in a bit and all we have planned is Guardians of the Galaxy. Might head to Disney Springs for lunch, then possibly Hollywood Studios after. We really don't have a game plan today other than Guardians later this morning. Hope you all have a great day.
