I know they will probably remove it when they retheme the theater for Monsters, but it would be funny if this plank stayed in the queue, since it says Do Not Remove.

Philharmagic's CGI has also aged much worse than the practical sets and puppets used in Muppet-Vision

2003 Ariel doesn't hold up as well as even 2010 Rapunzel
I don’t think many would disagree or go to bat for Philharmafic. It seems a little odd to say “but Philharmagic” to every criticism of MV when no one is really defending that one. I think most of us would be happy to see it go.

I would bat for Phillar. It’s my favorite of the 3d shows on property. It just need more updates like they did with Coco.

I love MK's PhilharMagic. I wouldn't want to see it go. I'd appreciate newer segments, like when they added Coco.

But if they take it away, I wouldn't complain bitterly off-topic in multiple threads for many years.
Im good with nearly anything for that space. It's a cute show, but also never full. Don't know the GSATs. Funnily enough, gags are similar to MV3D. It's like MV3D lite... but with smells.

I can think of about a million different better uses for it’s space in MK (like another real dark ride like MK’s FL badly needs). DCA’s is a little more troublesome to change over though, I will relent to that.
As a Californian, they can take our Filler Magic as well.

I did it twice a month or so ago (once sober and the next, not) just to give it a fresh perspective after watching them chat about it on For Your Amusement. The Coco sequence is clearly the best part, but man....the epitome of lazy 3D movie.

And yes, I have visited the MK version as well previously and have no desire to do so again on either coast.

The only reason I’m more willing to let the California one slide is because it’s so hamstrung by its location. There’s not much you can do with that space unless you just demolish that whole building. Whereas the space it takes up at Magic Kingdom is in my opinion some of the most prime real estate in the park and is more than enough room to add a much needed classic FL dark ride.

I think Philharmagic has also aged really well, and the fact that they did the update means it’ll probably be around for a while.
I think having newer scenes accompanied by randomization would be a good start in helping it stay around for even a while longer... If they were really brave they'd rip out the center to also incorporate live character entrances. Don't know the GSATs for this, but I imagine it's fairly average across the board.

Which makes it more saddening that they removed a dark ride for a princess meet and greet.

But, since Mom told us to get back on topic we have proceeded to debate the quality of Frozen Sing Along and Philharmagic.

They said it will be a new Monsters show but we don't know anything beyond that. By specifically saying "new" we assume it won't be just moving MILF over, but who knows (could just be an updated version of that), also not clear if film or stage show or what, just "new show"
I think that is the Intended plan...To pretty much update the Laugh Floor Tech for more interaction in a bigger better venue...Then they can close the Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland for something else down the line...

Hopefully not too far down the line, like they have been doing with Star Tours.

Even with the updates coming to Falcon, Star Tours is still too valuable to keep as a "All the classic familiar Star Wars characters and locations" thing. I feel like they'd sooner relocate it to Galaxy's Edge then get rid of it entirely and they'd probably see it as worth the investment versus the unfortunately ignored cries to move Muppetvision over to Sunset.
