Look I get it. We all get it. You don't like TBA. But for goodness sake please stop trying to shoehorn your issues with it into every single thing. Their research into Louisiana has nothing to do with their research into these ancient civilizations. Different teams, different subject matter, different goals. As much as you seem to want it to be, nothing about the projects Disney undertakes is one size fits all. You can't hold the perceived issues of one project over another.

The strangest thing to me is that the Tropical Americas plans have been ready for a while. The land clearing feels like it's taking forever. I haven't been to DAK since March 16, and I've missed nothing construction wise. 😂

Yeah I'm surprised they haven't taken down the entire wooden retaining wall in back yet since that is the biggest obstacle they have to do now for the Encanto showbuilding at least. Though I'm guessing we'll see the showbuilding start to go vertical by the end of this year if I had to guess, I don't doubt Tropical Americas gets delayed into 2028, but I think that if it's still targeting a 2027 opening date, then it'll probably be in the later part of 2027.

Maybe I am naive, but the land was basically a flat parking lot previously. What would be the big challenge in preparing it for a new attraction? Sure it takes time, but everything closed in January. 5 months later, there is still nothing visible, just flattened dirt. Seems like 2027 would be a big stretch at this point.

Have we ever gotten confirmation on what exactly the Encanto ride is even going to be? A C ticket omnimover type thing? A boat ride? Something entirely new? Sorry if I missed it being mentioned before, but don't recall anything being really confirmed.

We haven't heard officially from Disney but the going understanding is an omnimover type ride but with connected cars in trains that can stop in show scenes - so think how Figment works rather than Haunted Mansion

And is intended to be a major draw attraction (whether truly reached E-Ticket we shall see)

As I mentioned in a previous post, there is a wooden retaining wall in the back that held back some dirt and trees that has to be demolished (looks like they slowly are) and there is still utility work to be done as well, so I guess that's why it hasn't gone vertical yet, that and the fact Disney has always been slow on construction

Disney normally builds at the pace they want to build at, not that pace that is possible to build at.
