DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

In this instance, I think that their hands are pretty tied on announcing it early. They knew that they had to put this information out at the same time they put the information out about MuppetVision closing. They knew MuppetVision was going to have to close much sooner than RnRC so they just had to package it. If this was an isolated project, I don’t think they would have announced it this early.
Agree. They had to announce it. They wanted everyone to know that the Muppets aren't shuttered completely with the closure of MV3D. So they put out the announcement that the Muppets will be "moving across the park" and returning in 2026 in RnRC.

Opening Muppets RnRC in 2026? Yes. That's what this announcement says.

Aerosmith remaining in RnRC for all of 2025? Maybe. This announcement doesn't say that. It's possible that in preparation for Muppets RnRC in 2026, that Aerosmith RnRC closes in late 2025, no?

Is there some other official source that says Aerosmith will be in RnRC for all of 2025?

Yes - the italicized line in my post is from right here:

There’s no reason this should close the ride for very long at all. In fact, if they really wanted to, they could do this without closing the ride for a single day. It’s new signage, new video, new audio, new merchandise, and anything on top of that is arguably just change for the sake of change.

If I were in charge I would have it done overnight partly just as proof of concept.

That Disney announces projects early in the design process, typically shortly after they have been given the green light, is not new information.

You’d think people who participate in a rumours forum would like that sort of thing. But we gotta get our veiled tribalism digs in, instead of acknowledging more transparency is generally what we all enjoy.

Tell me again why people complain about Kermit's voice but David Tennant's lousy Scrooge McDuck that sounds nothing like Alan Young gets nothing but praise?

Who cares how early it is. I like getting news as soon as possible. If people can't handle waiting, don't read about it.

Especially know that there is actual construction going on. When it felt like all we got was "blue sky" it was a bit annoying - but know, yeah, let us know what you are working on, planning, etc even if a bit far off

And come 2026 we should have new substantial stuff each year coming so keep the news coming!

Some people care. If that first line was a question.

Probably because they have announced things early, only for it to fall through. Not saying that will happen here. Just pointing to how Disney handles announcements.

They're lazy and incongruous, typically tell the audience what's going on rather than showing, and make those areas look especially dated all these years later

Its worth noting that rnrc is not just a guitar… but a caddy inverted on rails connected to the guitar as strings to connect the ideas of a coaster and rock merging in thoughts…
