All cabins have been replaced. The old ones had reached the end of their shelf life.

However very few have been “declared” ie: the majority are still owned by Disney and not DVC.

I don’t think DVC was ever a serious proposition outside of the US.

I’d have to check, but I think the percentage of points declared for the cabins is around 20%.

Only 63 cabins have been declared which is roughly 20% of the anticipated total number of cabins.

I don't mind paying the premium, personally have been enjoying DL way more than WDW lately.

Side note - yes, DL for what it offers is immensely better than WDW. Always has been.

That said, I can absolutely see a good chunk of these cabins remaining in Disneys hands for cash sales because they won’t ever sell. And when Lakeshore opens… I can’t even imagine how cabin sales will look then.

It’s a sad circumstance for this rather charming resort.
