I was expecting a more serious look, something fit for a gala. I don’t know—something on the level of the Shanghai opening. This feels more like a GMA interview.
Sorry to expect them when the concept art certainly showed these "over rated fireworks."Go to the Mouse if you want over rated fireworks that bad.
I did enjoy the food segment. The production on this livestream is dreadful. At one point they cut to the "hosts" at the desk when they weren't expecting to be on and they were all holding fans up while assistants held umbrellas to provide shade.
The guy asking questions has been bad, too. He forgets to move the microphone depending on who is talking. And those being interviewed aren't even facing the camera.
I can't stop watching...
Again it's concept art. It changes all the time, just look at Disney.Sorry to expect them when the concept art certainly showed these "over rated fireworks."
They spent the money to build the launch complex and building roofs for pyro.Again it's concept art. It changes all the time, just look at Disney.
Sure. But I was mainly pointing out the fact you called them overrated when Universal certainly had no issue alluding to them being a nighttime offering.Again it's concept art. It changes all the time, just look at Disney.
Go to the Mouse if you want over rated fireworks that bad.
No never. Fireworks aren't that special for one. Two Universal is not Disney.View attachment 859963
You take that back!
I prefer how The Today Show handled discussing Epic Universe since it felt more informative. This livestream is truly insufferable. The hosts and the amount of forced corporate speak and phrases and wording they annd everyone they’re interviewing are required to use is hitting critical mass. Just an endless spew of bullet points they’re required to get across. Amazing. Incredible. Brilliant. Immersive.
I get that it’s just a big ad for the park but still, corporations really need to dial down this stuff because when they lay it on this heavy, it has the opposite effect of what they’re going for.
You'll find very large crowds that don't share that opinion.Fireworks aren't that special for one
Glitterers.Disney has Pixie Dusters, what's the name for the Universal equivalent?
There is Fireworks Tomorrow Night? They have a pyro bunker for the possibility of future shows but unless it's the best kept secret, there is no fireworks outside tonight & tomorrow.
As a CM I was even encouraged to learn about Epic as much as possible, and even go to the park if I could - because guests would ask questions about it. Or at least that was the theory. Nothing official for obvious reasons, but this was months before we even had previews so it kind of makes you wonder. The number of times I heard people who were luckier in me in getting a TM family and friends preview spot talking about the experience on stage is hard to quantify...Within TWDC, there's loads of Universal fans at all levels of the company, and vice-versa.
Looks like the governor is in attendance tonight.
That is also my understanding. At least Mrs. DeSantis is (was?) a big Disney fan, as she insisted they have their wedding there, including characters at the reception. But I would be surprised if Gov. DeSantis didn't show up to this opening or, if in an alternate universe, Disney were opening a new theme park tomorrow, given, as you pointed out, how big of a moment this is for the state. From what I understand, prior to being governor he was more of a Disney fan then a universal fan (and his wife/kids are still). It's almost expected he shows up for any opening ceremony given that this is a big moment for the state economically and otherwise. I do wonder what rides he went on though.
