Well, in a fantasy world where there are no other considerations, it would certainly be better for the guest if construction projects went faster. But, back here on earth, there are other considerations.

They CHOSE to delay TRON. They are not purposely delaying BTMRR. Just like they didn’t purposely delay TBA. Test Track is also being done expeditiously, as is Stormalong Bay. They don’t delay EVERYTHING and we need to stop using the pandemic as proof that they do.

First of all… we are Disney adults on a fan site… this isn’t a court of law haha. So let’s not get too serious here.

You can always pay more to get things done quicker. I remember Matt O. Got a 2nd construction team working on space mountain in order to get it done by the 50th when he took over the park.

I don't think this project will take too long, possibly reopening the first half of 2026. If that cars attraction does start construction this summer, and TBA continues to see frequent downtime, Disney will want this thing back up as soon as possible so that people will actually want to go to Frontierland because I can't see Frontierland being too appealing with walls lined up around the river.

Yes it’s a discussion board but facts are a thing.

Saying you wish they would move faster is one thing. We have no clue the scope of work that needs to be completed by next year.

I’m hoping they are able get everything done quickly without delays.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this current discussion was about A new Notice of Commencement has been filed for the ongoing refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, and it comes with a notable change: an extended expiration date of April 15, 2026, indicating the project may take longer than originally planned?

I personally don't care as I have no expectations of when this work will be done.

Possible or perhaps even probable, but not necessarily so. Throwing more bodies at things sometimes doesn't work due to the logistics of a project.

No, you cannot always pay more to get things done quicker. That’s only true if you’re willing to accept shoddy and improper work.

Space Mountain wasn’t completed early by some huge margin. Ouimet also took advantage of the ride’s failure and got the project moving before its planned start date. Even if Big Thunder Mountain Railroad opens on December 31, 2026 (which seems unlikely based on current evidence), it would be completed faster than the Space Mountain replacement.

Or, that’s an indicator of nothing as some of our experts at reading these things have indicated could be the case. You may have missed it being sandwiched between all your posts saying the same glass half empty banter.
