MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

So nobody loves the idea of this cars ride being added to MK?
I do. I think there is a lot of opportunity to add beautiful mountains to Frontierland. From the artwork, it looks like they will add different landforms to replace Rivers of America.

I know this is an unpopular idea, but Rivers of America right now is really underutilized and so I don't blame Disney for wanting to put something else there. The Cars ride is really fun in Disneyland and I have high hopes for the change.

No I'm saying the trailers are NOT explicitly, ANYWHERE, stated to be for Cars. All we know is that they're building trailers. They don't NECESSARILY have to be for Cars. I know that you and Corless are both reporting it that way, but I haven't seen any evidence cited anywhere that proves it's for Cars, and it looks like @Advisable Joseph didn't either.
This is doc # 20250218709 on
Orange County Comptroller's search site

I only found the PDF @wdwmagic mentioned on the Comptroller's website. Where is the mention of a "Cars-themed Land"? I think it was @wdwmagic who came up with that?

We heard this with TBA. We’ve heard this, as you point out, continuously. At some point it stops being silly and starts being disingenuous.
"They can't screw Tiana’s up with how beloved Splash was"

"They can't screw up Monsters Inc. with how beloved MuppetVision was"

"They can't screw up Indiana Jones with how beloved DINOSAUR was".

Sure, they don't have to be... but what else would they be for?

They don't just build trailers for nothing, and they're not building Villains (or anything else in that area) before they fill in the Rivers.

Like some have suggested, it sounds like Disney is committed to removing the Rivers for several reasons (costs to maintain #1)

What Disney is spending to remove RoA, build in its place and alter the resort's water management system is significantly more than the cost to keep the Rivers as is.

Maintenance costs are historically an excuse used to justify the removal of Disney attractions, but how true that actually is varies, and in this case the implication is that any cost associated with operating an attraction that does not sell Lighting Lane or merch needs to go.

That should be a concern for any Disney parks fan regardless of how they feel about this particular replacement(s)

It’s amazing how the sabotaging of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey Into Imagination have left the Disney fan consciousness.

Still would love to hear something more specific than “maintenance”.

Both examples happened before the year 2000

We're naturally at the point where what WDW was like in general during the 20th century is being forgotten and fewer people are actively seeking out resources that would provide that information (outside of maybe a Defunctland video)

Most people who visit MK today probably have no idea 20,000 Leagues, the Skyway, Mr. Toad, the Diamond Horseshoe Revue...things that were staples for decades...ever existed.

Even if it takes them 5 to 7 years to complete it
This is now the third time I'm correcting you, so, you should know better.

It's clear you have as an agenda item on your to-do list, "convince everyone that the 5-year projects announced at D23 will really be 7 years."

I don't expect your behavior to change, but it's clear you're not here to post in good faith. I'm saying this in case someone is taken in by your bad faith posts. And they now know how to evaluate all your other postings and not be taken in by the way you skew reality since you've already acknowledged you're posting for the personal lulz.
