Once again deluded myself. I thought Disney would use tariffs or some other excuse to cancel the demolition of ROA. Use current events as cover to get out from under the bad press. Maybe focus on the villains land instead of becoming a villain.

Disney did not stop the retheme of DCA's Tower of Terror, nor the retheme of GMR due to a cry from the fanbase. Or attempts at petitions.

I read his post differently. There is nothing "positive" about this. Sure, it's a concrete sign. It's an affirmative sign. It's a measurable sign. It's a likely sign. But it's not a "positive" sign that this project is moving forward.

Previously, there's been a back and forth over whether this is still Frontierland, or, by having this "mini-land" it is its own land and thus, not part of Frontierland.

Disney has not called it a "land" officially AFAIK.

I'd imagine they'd classify it more like Fantasyland. It's all Fantasyland but there is also "Enchanted Forest" outside of the castle walls.

There is a story floating around that the Country Bears were to be changed to a Toy Story puppet show and it was fans who forced Disney to update and keep Country bears.

Where does it say these trailers are for the Cars project? Could it, technically, be for the Villains project? Or even if it IS for Cars, wouldn't the trailers be in the same place if they moved Cars further back and kept the RoA?

To say destroying RoA a positive thing is subjective. Its positive for some but not for all.

OK Yes, I admit permits for the project trailers have been filed. and construction on the project trailers will begin in 2025.

RoA, TSI and the riverboat will probably be destroyed eventually, but a person can dream, cant they?

I think so. "Positive sign" means "it is likely to be." It doesn't necessarily mean "good thing."

Of course, on the Dish he's been coy on this subject. Not bashing it enough for my taste...LOL.

I don't have any recollection of Old Faithful Inn in the Cars movies... I saw snow and something that ;looked like a ski chalet... Glad it is not a ski chalet... Still doesn't feel like the right location for the IP... So can we look forward to a Beauty and The Beast ride set in Tahiti? I mean it was settled by French planters.....

IIRC, it's called the Grand Fusel Lodge in Planes: Fire & Rescue, but it's based on Old Faithful Inn and located in the Cars equivalent of Yellowstone.

It's the only way to reach and repair the sewer. Reminds me of EPCOT getting torn up. So yes, I think they want to do some extensive digging there come what may.

Technically they could be for Villians and not cars. But that seems like .01% chance.

Disney absolutely does not want an excuse to cancel, they WANT to destroy RoA!

Many, including me, want them to cancel, hoping the current environment would force them to cancel it.

Even if it takes them 5 to 7 years to complete it, I think they will do it, because THEY WANT to do it!
