Monday 31st March
Travel day.

We headed off to Charles De Gaulle direct from our local airport. During the flight we spotted the Eiffel Tower in the distance. the landing was a little on the bumpy side but we had touched down in France. Taxiing to terminal 3 we saw Le Concord on display at the airport.
Getting to the shuttle proved an interesting time as it was a little unclear with directions from this terminal. We had to walk between 3 and the train station and then take a shuttle between here and 2F. Then it was a pretty simple walk to the magical shuttle location .
We just missed the bus and had to wait half an hour or so for the next one. Not the worst wait in the world as the sun was pleasant.
Once aboard the coach it was about an hours transfer to the hotel with stops at Santa Fe and Hotel New York first.
We were staying at Sequoia lodge and its a beautiful hotel with definite similarities to Wilderness lodge in Florida. After having our bags scanned prior to entrance , we checked in and made our way to the room. A nice corner room on the end of a wing.
We decided to head on over to the Studios park so as to make our first full day the castle park.
After a quick stop at Starbucks , we entered into the parks and our first ride.

First up ,
Cars Quatre Roues Rallye. A spinning ride similar to Alien Swirling Saucers. It was a walk on and we had been recommended this ride. It was a laugh a minute and a great start to the holiday.
Next up Ratatouille . This was another great ride although we were surprised that it wasn't in 3D. This didn't distract from it and we both really enjoyed our little mouse adventure.
We took a stroll over to Carstastrophe canyon and as this was also a walk on. It was a fun little experience. A little short but still nice to see Catastrophe canyon again.
After checking wait times we took the stroll around to Avengers campus and lined up for Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventures.
This is an amazing ride and I would recommend it to all. I might have been thoroughly beaten by Mrs Ferret. In fact she was the highest scorer in the car .
We headed out of the park at this point and stopped by Earl of Sandwich for dinner . Hawaiian barbecue may have ended up a staple of our trip. We never bothered with any table service eating as we didn't feel hungry enough.
Next up 50 at Disneyland Paris.

Tuesday 1st April.
Nothing important happened today :cautious:

We were up and out to the parks by 9am ish and headed under the Disneyland hotel to enter the park. I received a lot of Happy birthdays in various languages ( including a German lady who shared the same date) due to an inconspicuous badge gifted to me by my "daughter".

First up was Phantom manor. The wait was only 5 minutes and it was really a walk on. Love this ride and it might be our favourite Haunted Disney house .
As it was still deathly quiet in park we headed back around again and re-rode all the way to the proposal again.
Our next ride was one we had never done in any of the parks . The Teacups. We spent the queue watching a young girl (about 2) desperately trying any option to escape from her parents. Even when the gaps in the bars were getting smaller it didn't stop her from trying to fit through. We enjoyed this ride and its on the list for next trip.
After our tea break we wandered over to the Agrabah section going past (and maybe through) Sir Mickeys. Just as I was taking a quick photo of the Cinderella fountain , who should come wandering around the corner than Ariel. She paused briefly so I could get a picture and then headed off to see how Sebastian was keeping.
The character interaction we had during this trip was amazing as we never queued for any meets but saw and spoke to quite a few as they seem to be more mobile than at WDW.
We did the Aladdin walkthrough and headed over to Main Street to Caseys as we hadn't eaten yet.
We both opted for a barbecue dog with caramelised onions and a Tropico drink to go. We were surprised by the "to go drink" as we were given a plastic beaker of drink rather than a disposable cup. We headed around the corner into Frontierland and found a pleasant bench in the sun to eat and watch the world mosey on by.
We did some more merchandise perusal after lunch before I headed over to hyperspace mountain for the solo rider line.
The wait was posted at 20m minutes for this but it felt longer. As with any single rider line it moves quicker when there are more odd number groups in the regular line.
I enjoyed the ride but man was it intense. It was definitely a one and done for the trip. I'm glad I did it but there is no way I could ride repeatedly . Whilst we were in the area we headed in to Startours and visited the wookie planet and defeated Boba Fett. Next up we went to watch Mickey's Phillharmagic. We both love this show and love the fact that the theatre "moves" with big effects. We were pleasantly surprised that the Coco addition had made it to this park . Unfortunately the water and other effects ( popping champagne bottles) either weren't working or aren't there . Neither is Donald crashing through the back of the theatre. None the less still a great show.
Taking the path behind cafe Hyperion into Fantasy land we were headed over to Pirates as the wait time wasn't too long. Taking a break along the way we saw another bunch of characters strolling past including Hook , The female Mice From Cinderella , Belle and Aladdin .
Eventually we got over to the other side of the park and the pirates ride. This version is fun and I may have got a little damp from a cannonball shot .
Pinocchio was a short wait so we hopped on to. this is a slightly disturbing ride that runs close to the original source with cigarettes and alcohol featuring quite heavily.
It was now time to get to our reserved area for the parade. This was the busiest we saw the parks anywhere and we were so glad we had got a less crowded space. The parade was fun and the floats really looked great.
We waited for the craziness to disperse before heading out of the park via the gift shops.
Starbucks may have made a nice end to the day and we picked up the you are here mugs we wanted.
It was a nice relaxed birthday and a great day overall.

Wednesday 2nd April.
This morning we headed over to the studios park .
First up was Les Tapis Volants. We did this spinner as the queue time was quite short and the return time for our next ride hadn't rolled around yet. This was as expected , Spinny and up and down fun.
Then we headed next door to Crush's Coaster. We had paid the Premier access for this as we wanted to do this ride and the wait time is normally excessive. We pretty much walked straight on to this ride and were seated in the shell within 5 minutes of entering the queue. That's where the good ends. Mrs Ferret really didn't enjoy this ride and I felt it was ok , but not worth paying for or queuing for any length of time. Im very proud of Mrs Ferret for trying this ride as coasters generally aren't her thing.
We headed up into towards the cars road trip area to grab a little something to eat and both grabbed a Croque McQueen from the Laugh 'N' Go truck. It was something very simple but was delicious .
Next up was the Pixar Together show. We weren't sure what to expect here and were very pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed this show. It is a mix of live orchestra and on stage characters with screens and some very impressive transitions between real effect and on screen. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the French parks.
We then took a stroll around the Marvel area and saw Miss Marvel (Kamala khan). And heading back towards the front of the park we caught Goofy and Chip and Dale randomly greeting in this area. We also saw Spiderman in the distance on the roof but were a bit far to see the whole interaction.
At this point we swapped parks and might have gotten back on board a doom buggy again . 5 minute queue , why not.
We tried to find the entrance to Blance-Niege et les sept Nains but it was hidden from us muggles for some reason.
Not to be beaten we headed over to March hare refreshments for an ice cream. I had a Curios labyrinth and Mrs F had a Queen of hearts. They were both very enjoyable and the ice cream was very good.
We headed out for a while to take a break (I'm old now).
I don't know how it happened but somehow a coffee suddenly appeared in our hands. Im as shocked as y'all .
We took the opportunity to visit the other two hotel lobbies and gift shops but was surprisingly underwhelmed by both Hotel New York and Newport Bay. The gift shops in particular are tiny in comparison to what you would normally find in Florida with no "pharmacy" section anywhere to be seen.
After some R&R we headed back towards the park and our one bum meal of the trip. The Golden Arches was a definite let down compared to the quality of everything else we ate .
Once back in the castle park we found a mug I had been eyeing up but had disappeared from the world of Disney . There was one in the Emporium hiding with a load of stitch mugs. The parks were quieting down as people started to claim spaces for the nighttime show. We skipped Main Street and used the arcade to avoid the crowds developing .
Another ride into a Skeletal Wild West was up and we survived once again.
Somehow we found ourselves back in the Caribbean . We were front and centre in the boat and sneakily joined in the "photo pose" the family behind us were planning. They all went for the scared hands in the air pose whilst we chose the fast asleep option. They were very amused when they saw the picture and it was nice to know we weren't just a grumpy couple in the front.
We spent some more time wandering the park and enjoying the atmosphere before calling it a night as sections were being closed off behind the castle , presumably due to fireworks restrictions.

Thursday 3rd April.

We started our day over at the Studios again but didn't stay long. A lot of the rides were experiencing issues today and everything good was down or 900 hour queues.
So.
Over to the pretty park. After a little issue with admission ( the system still though we were in the other park) we entered in and popped to Caseys for lunch. We never got up early enough for early access , It just didn't fit our vacation style. I will leave it up to you as to what we might have got . Predictable ? A little , but we know what we like. We chose the sit in option this time and nabbed a table as it wasn't busy yet.
We headed over to tomorrow land and grabbed a fridge magnet Mrs F had seen the other day whilst she was waiting on me to ride hyperspace. We then had a whirl on Buzz Lightyear. It's a little different from the other version we had ridden and you can hold the ray gun away from the vehicle. I may have forgotten that you can spin the star fighter until pretty much the end of the ride :cautious:
We went for another showing of Phillharmagic. love love love this show.
It was back to the hotel at this point to pack cases and see just how much space was left in them.
We popped into starbies to pick up a late birthday coffee and donut ( thank you again @Swissmiss ).

We decided to give the Studios another chance later on and ended up getting premier for the Rat ride and Web slingers.
We decided to pay as we wanted another ride on both and didn't want to wait as the lines were insane due to them being down for long periods. Before the time came round for ratatouille we picked up a small box of macrons to try as neither of us had tried them before. Very delicious they were indeed and the box they came in was so nice I ended up carrying it around for the evening and we brought it home.
Loved the ride and it always interests me just how these trackless rides operate .
Web Slingers was straight up next and once again Mrs Ferret royally kicked the rears of everyone in the car.
We slowly exited the park and went next door for our final ride of the trip and a little more shop investigation.
Answers on a postcard as to our last ride ,
C/o Le Phantom Manor
Disneyland Paris

One last stroll to the hub to say "See you real soon" to the pretty castle and it was time to head back to the resort.
