Sometimes yes and many times no.

Yeah, replacing the disco ballTwo things here. 1. So is the new scene replacing the weird one at the beginning? (Never understood what that was supposed to be) 2. The original article made it kind of unclear. Are the new targets going to be digital or still physical? Either way super happy this is happening. This ride has been falling apart for a long time and the the previous target system was super confusing.
It's basically one of the LL that is guaranteed to how they have allocated inventory. This also inflates standby times, but to say Buzz isn't popular is just outright misinformation.Their priorities are entirely in the wrong place. What’s worse is that people are glazing it as an all time “great decision”. If Buzz is such a popular ride, why is it the easiest Lightning lane to secure at 8pm?
In my experience the peoplemovers popularity has gone up the last few years.Whenever I’m there the wait is wrapped all around the tower in the middle.I get that. But I’ve also noticed a DRASTIC decrease in its popularity over the last decade. Like almost nothing like I’ve seen with any other ride. I remember when it used to be the longest wait in the park. Now it’s typically around the same average wait as the Peoplemover.
Tomorrowland is immensely popular, it needs more attractions. In my experience the peoplemovers popularity has gone up. Whenever I’m there the wait is wrapped all around the tower in the middle.
Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters was designed to fit into CircleVision theaters. They don’t have to keep the theater show format.Stitch is such a specific space, what CAN they even put in in there that’s somewhat diff? I mean it’s specific circular theatres, peoplemover above it and there’s probably asbestos inside. What can they realistically do with the space that isn’t similar to what has been done before?
Now I heard that that there was still large amounts of asbestos in Disney world and in particular Tomorrowland. Apparently, they were wrong.Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters was designed to fit into CircleVision theaters. They don’t have to keep the theater show format.
Walt Disney World undertook a massive asbestos abatement program over 20 years ago. Even if there still was some, it can be removed or left in place.
I would say what it needs is better utilization of the existing spaces.Tomorrowland is immensely popular, it needs more attractions.
It doesn't need to be refurbished; it needs to be replaced with something halfway decent.
I personally dislike this announcement because if they're going to spend this kind of money on the attraction then it's going to stay in Tomorrowland for a long time.
That said, if they are (unfortunately) going to keep it, it is good that they're spending money to update it.
Add Forky and this flesh wound might be healed.
Yeah but are you more GRUNKLED now?Good move. Long overdue. I am a bit more gruntled now.
So you prefer the empty building rotting away in the busiest theme park over a wreck it ralph replacement?Yeah, I’ve never liked the idea of Wreck-It-Ralph in Tomorrowland. It doesn’t fit in the land. Thank god that they didn’t do that as the replacement for stitch.
I'm not touching that quote with a 10-meter cattle prod..."We're not just, you know, sitting on our laurels and saying, ‘Well, let’s just kind of keep it running,'" Michael Hundgen, Creative Portfolio Executive Producer with Walt Disney Imagineering, said. "This is a great update to a classic attraction."
Maybe Michael should spend some time listening to Dr. Nigel Channing, or will Imagination need to hit the 30-year mark before it gets changed? Sorry Mike, you are resting when it comes to Imagination!
