I’ve seen lots of things about WDW now having ‘Black Santa’ and how much that means to people but I’m really curious how that works. Normally you would see a face performer walk off stage and a near identical one come back so kids don’t notice the switch. How does it work when in the space of 5 minutes Santa very visibly changes?

Probably like Santas around the world have been presented in EP. You would go to different sites and there would be a Santa, but hes seen dressed differently and characterized differently from country to country. Same person but a different representation. Different ethnicities of Santas will be presented and parents can explain how Santa can be of different racial make ups to their kids.
Around our city you can run into many Santas in many stores along the same street and they have been different in how they appear, including black or white and kids dont question how there can be so many Santas. I wouldnt think too much about it being an issue.
