I was actually just gonna ask this exact question. My daughter can have my Star Tours :hungover: while I use her RnRC and I'll trade my other half my SM FP+ (tooo jerky) for a dole whip. Win/win.
Deluxe dining plan.
It is just way too much food. We spent hours each day eating or getting to restaurants and would've saved a bundle if we had just paid OOP and picked the few sit-downs that we really wanted to try as opposed to trying to squeeze the value from the plan.
Lesson learned...
If you're really not comfortable with leaving them in the room you might consider booking the "Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage". For a 9 and 13 yr old it would be $93 plus tax so not cheap, but if that would give you peace of mind then it's something to consider...
Look at it this way - If Disney want people to continue to stay in their (overpriced) Resorts then there has to be some kind of perk. If I could get the same level of accommodation at a cheaper price with no other benefits, then I would be far less likely to stay on property. It does make...
Soooooo we've decided.....December! Well very late November and early December anyways. We'll be in the World from 11/28/15 to 12/11/15 and in Uni from 12/11/15 to 12/15/15. Hopefully by going so early in the season we can avoid the crowds and with any luck the weather won't be too chilly...
I just checked out their website - they have an Old Man Jam which would probably suit him down to the ground :joyfull:. It looks like it's pretty close to UO and since we'll be staying there for a few days he could easily get a cab there for a few hours. Thanks so much!
4 trips under my belt so far - 1989(CR), 1996(WL), 2003(BC), 2011(PR)
Last visit was June 2011
Next trip will be December 2015 - 317 days!!!
My favorite would be a toss up between Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror
Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place.
Has anyone ventured off property to a local skate park? My other half (38 going on 13) would love to spend a morning at a park while the ladies of the family have a spa day. Are there any close by (taxi) and are they any good?
Coming from Australia, the most expensive part of any trip is the flights so we try to maximize our time away. We stay in WDW for between 10 to 14 nights and usually add a Uni sidetrip. If we can swing it, we might hit another state before heading home.
So the family and I are heading home in the new year and we've narrowed the dates to either 10/12 to 10/24 OR 11/29 to 12/11. We'll also be staying in Uni for 4 nights following WDW. Being more than a little type A I've compiled a pro/con list to help us decide. Does anyone have any tips to...
* The deluxe dining plan is just TOO MUCH FOOD!
*Just because a pair of shoes are comfy walking around the mall, doesn't mean the same pair are built for walking on hot concrete for 14 hour days.
*Luxury and cost don't matter nearly as much as convenience does to us on vacation.
*You really...
This is great news. During our last trip (2011) my DD was 9 and so restricted to the kids menu on the DDP. As she is both vegetarian and allergic to peanuts, her choices were very limited.
We found that at most TS locations the chef would come out and discuss the menu with her (not us) and...
I can tell you right now as a grown woman, if I had been called any of those names, I would have contacted Uni myself to complain. The age of the girls is irrelevant. There is no OK context for that kind of language. It's misogyny pure and simple and it has to stop.
