Man I'm sorry but Epic has possibly the worst sightlines in all of the Orlando parks in terms of both:
1. How much you can see, but shouldn't
2. How much thematic immersion said sights are breaking.
So for instance, seeing a back of house area blatantly on display in the station for Mako at...
Galaxy's Edge: We loaded it with world-building details, made it look like a plausible full-scale spaceport (with only the fact that the resistance base is right next to the spaceport being a thing that is obviously space-constraint dictated), flexed our creative muscles going all-in creating a...
Friendly reminder: Constructive criticism of Universal, the theme park company I've chosen to align my identity with, is NOT allowed.
Universal is ALWAYS better than Disney, and when they're not, its because that aspect actually doesn't matter and only Disney Adults would care about it.
It should be addressed that the rockwork around the structure itself is looking very filthy. It's all covered in "Florida rooftop grime" and a lot of it has turned black. It doesn't look like natural dirt, but I'm guessing Disney hopes it does and that is their excuse for not giving it a facelift.
Remember everyone - whenever someone posts something you don't agree with on WDWMagic, just pull the "you're adult, why are you caring so much about a theme park??" card even though you're also here, posting and caring about a theme park.
The issue really isn't "which disabilities deserve the pass and which ones don't". It's that a staggering number of guests will go into Guest Relations/Guest Services, say they can't wait in line, and will just keep saying things and adding to their disabilities until they either say the right...
The games in TSMM are at least engaging and challenging, and each game has a different technique. This just has you mindlessly shooting everything with no real goal or intensity.
It's choppy phone games on the walls only you have a heavy gun instead of your finger. There's -some props but not much. The games are not fun. It's garbage.
I agree that it's all important. But the more the vast majority of Disney park fans focus on JUST the yeti and little else, the more it allows Disney to get away with maintaining things in this manner. This very thread was unfortunately a huge component to this hivemind mentality regarding this...
Absolutely. Tower of Terror is like 75% show and 25% thrill ride. Everest the opposite, 75% thrill ride and 25% show. Tower of Terror looking awful for years is a much bigger issue, but since it's a bunch of little problems and not one giant 25 foot one that everyone jokes about, people don't care.
Sadly, Joe's tweet didn't accomplish anything. Even in articles ABOUT THIS EXACT TWEET, people are still commenting on them how the mountain "needs to be dismantled to work on the yeti". They don't care, they don't read, they just want to continue to regurgitate this "fact" because "knowing" it...
I mean, the average person probably won't think about it, but it does lose some of the effect of being suspended up in the air and makes it more standard rollercoaster-ish.
Also, the hair ties are collecting again. And it really bugs me that they didn't pressure wash and paint the snow at the...
Not really an effect, but it seems as though they now operate with the railings up on the second lift:
It was like this on a recent visit for me as well. Before, the railing would only rise if the ride shut down.
It's literally part of training for WDW attractions that you don't interrupt the show if it isn't a safety issue. Maybe that has changed in recent years? I don't go that much anymore. I'm not saying it NEVER happens. I believe I've possibly encountered it once on pirates? They certainly didn't...
