This just sounds like a bandaid to fix this dead area. This is is super disappointing IMO; this should’ve been a new land.
This news makes it even worse that they closed Muppets.
I’m glad the Muppets have another home at WDW but I really like this idea too.
Ghost Rider would’ve been an easy fit for this; but he doesn’t have any movies or anything rn for Disney to push & Disney isn’t really interested in having comic stuff in the parks.
It’s left me excited when I’ve walked past it so far. I have a good feeling about this new land. It’s the upcoming land that I’m most confident in.
Villains has more potential but I do have a bit of skepticism in its execution or if it’ll even happen.
I think rides being similar across...
I feel that’s Disney’s fault & not kids. I see a decent amount of kids in the parks with Figment & even Kermit merch. So there’s still some sort of appeal to these characters to modern day kids. I don’t think I’ve seen any kids with Powerline merch, something clearly aimed at older fans now...
I'd say they'd need another ride in Africa first; the rumored Lion King ride would be perfect. The Africa land is essentially dead at night since they have to close the Safari, trails & show early. It'd be really difficult to justify this park being open later if there's a big land in the middle...
Dinoland has a lot of fun details for hardcore park geeks (I ended up liking it myself as I became more of a park geek). But it was definitely a failure with your average guest, weren't the Satisfaction scores always low? Even with the fun details & lore, it stuck out like a sore thumb amongst...
Yeah, I'm glad they're limiting this land tbh. I love Monsters Inc but one ride at WDW is good enough for that series.
Save the space for other rides for different series.
Is there any advantage of an IP getting a ride to push merch vs putting it in the generic gift shops? I know back in the Eisner days that had an effect. But nowadays, most of the gift shops just have random IPs in them, no matter the theme of the store, does it really matter nowadays?
Even more...
I imagine Disney will still go through with the current plans. But if they don't, then I really hope they do an Indy ride at DHS. The series should stay there anyway.
