DHS Disney Animation-Inspired Experience Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This just sounds like a bandaid to fix this dead area. This is is super disappointing IMO; this should’ve been a new land. This news makes it even worse that they closed Muppets.

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

It’d be nice to reuse Bean & the Chef too. They wouldn’t be able to do any new audio for Bean but it’d be fun to have him somewhere in the queue.

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I’m glad the Muppets have another home at WDW but I really like this idea too. Ghost Rider would’ve been an easy fit for this; but he doesn’t have any movies or anything rn for Disney to push & Disney isn’t really interested in having comic stuff in the parks.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

It’s left me excited when I’ve walked past it so far. I have a good feeling about this new land. It’s the upcoming land that I’m most confident in. Villains has more potential but I do have a bit of skepticism in its execution or if it’ll even happen. I think rides being similar across...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Imagine if a first timer to the Universal parks goes to Epic first & then USO afterwards. That’ll be a total system shock for them lmao

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I hope we can hear the music on the new version of RNRCC. I can barely hear it on the current version but the music is crystal clear on Guardians.

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

I feel that’s Disney’s fault & not kids. I see a decent amount of kids in the parks with Figment & even Kermit merch. So there’s still some sort of appeal to these characters to modern day kids. I don’t think I’ve seen any kids with Powerline merch, something clearly aimed at older fans now...

DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

After seeing what EU did with Paris, I’d *HATE* to see Avengers Campus at WDW. New York, Wakanda, Asgard, Latveria or bust for WDW Marvel.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I'd say they'd need another ride in Africa first; the rumored Lion King ride would be perfect. The Africa land is essentially dead at night since they have to close the Safari, trails & show early. It'd be really difficult to justify this park being open later if there's a big land in the middle...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Dinoland has a lot of fun details for hardcore park geeks (I ended up liking it myself as I became more of a park geek). But it was definitely a failure with your average guest, weren't the Satisfaction scores always low? Even with the fun details & lore, it stuck out like a sore thumb amongst...

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Yeah, I'm glad they're limiting this land tbh. I love Monsters Inc but one ride at WDW is good enough for that series. Save the space for other rides for different series.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Monsters is a mini-land and an addition to capacity atleast. But I definitely agree with you for the other lands.

Good riddance to the carnival. RIP to the gift shop.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Is there any advantage of an IP getting a ride to push merch vs putting it in the generic gift shops? I know back in the Eisner days that had an effect. But nowadays, most of the gift shops just have random IPs in them, no matter the theme of the store, does it really matter nowadays? Even more...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I imagine Disney will still go through with the current plans. But if they don't, then I really hope they do an Indy ride at DHS. The series should stay there anyway.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

They were definitely riding off of the high of Force Awakens making 2 billion & becoming the highest grossing film domestically (it still holds that record!). But OT still should've been what they went with. It was the safer bet as it had already stood the test of time. They also had several...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I rode Indy for the first time last year after riding Dinosaur a dozen times. Indy is better & it's not even close; Indy's perhaps the best ride I've ever been on, even outside of my fandom of the series. The sets are immaculate. I pray that the DAK ride can be even half as good as that ride...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I can see them thinking Encanto, Indy, Flight, Safari & Everest is a good lineup for it. It's definitely better than the current lineup, which is really just the latter 3 (I love Dino but it always has a short wait time). Ideally, Disney will expand DAK to help capacity... and sell more LLs...

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Disney is infatuated with the series ever since they got control. I doubt they let this happen. They'll keep those characters alive as long as they make money. Nah, that's just animation tradition sadly. Mel Blanc voiced the Looney Tunes until the very end. There were some clip show movies in...
