Losing Fantasmic! as well as having no water ride for the whole summer, is definitely going to cause a hit to attendance. They've also paused sales of Keys again, so this will get people interested in going, and maybe even some with Keys that are essentially blocked out for the summer, to buy...

There are no longer any Saturday nights. Doesn't make sense, since those nights were usually one of the first to sell out. But since every night sells out anyways, I guess it doesn't really matter to Disney.

My guess is it's something more immediate. Like the increased demand they expect once a closing date is announced. I heard the lines at WDW were unbelievably long, especially on the final days.

I was there. I was at UC Santa Barbara, and heard about it on the radio Friday night. A few of us got in the car, went to the park, and got on at 4:30 AM. Fun time. Took a couple of naps in the car, and I can't remember whether we went home Saturday night or Sunday morning.
