Well, speaking as a New Englander of Irish/French extraction, I don't think any of "my people" would have found themselves in the grand seaside resorts back in the day that Yacht and Beach are modeled after. Too expensive, not very welcome, likely filled with Yankee swells.
Except that the lanyard and card holder were never used for admission. The MB's are. I never said that the purchase of the MB was mandatory, but once it IS bought, people have then paid for that which they use for admission. To me, that sounds like paying for one's admission media.

Went to DL (from Massachusetts) last month. Loved it (weekend crowds and narrow walkways excepted). Loved being able to plan around "classic" FP. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, much more interesting use of space than in Orlando. Great maintenance. Cars Land was awesome. No regrets...
