MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

They didn’t for universe of energy. Had the ride been shorter, we might have ridden it more; but since we (and apparently- others) didn’t love it, we didn’t want to spend 30min on something didn’t enjoy

fwiw, I think that the Tiana ride at DL is great. And I rarely rode Splash

How’s that dead horse? Eh - let’s take a few more swings at it Separate from whether Splash fit or not, at least they tried to keep the theme. And decades after it was built, the boardwalk along Frontierland across from Tom Sawyer’s was still a lovely area that felt better than a theme park...

MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Total aside - but I enjoy the scrapped-together story. My family thinks it’s a total package (but for some first room preshow fatigue)

News Magic Kingdom Permits Filed for Big Al's, Westward Ho, and Churro Cart Possible Demolition

That’s assuming that you put the context of the movie in said location- which is why it was gutted They changed the appearance of Splash to look more like the west. It could easily have been a Texas location by its characters and its appearance. The vibe of the space changed completely as the...

Except that I’m not sure he’s wrong. Putting Tiana/New Orleans feels like a real shot across the bow

Agreed - I think that’s why I haven’t noticed it But it does look much better with it down

Does anyone else think Galaxy’s Edge is a misfire?

I still think it has great bones. It just needs a very real set of enhancements

Does anyone else think Galaxy’s Edge is a misfire?

My guess is that the 1-2 punches of 1) no OT characters and no area music; and 2) many of the character interactions winnowed out (possibly trying to push the starcruiser and also due to covid) really hurt. Hopefully the DL changes coming up will help, because I agree with the above poster...

MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

This is what I mean- that the environment is the theme…and I get that But I also wonder if that’s why my kids get tired of the environment more quickly Kinda like eating pasta and vegetables and chicken separately might be interesting for longer; but put them all in a soup and it might be...

MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

I appreciate the theory; but can you offer an example? I’m not sure I can think of one that fits the mold If you’re thinking DL’s pirates, then it shows that everyone has their own perspective on things. I suppose you could say that the queue transition into the experience is well done for...

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Apart from the conceptual aesthetic of symmetry, I don’t miss the semicircles of doom that surrounded you exiting Spaceship Earth. Eventually on the east side we navigated our way to find Sum of all thrills hidden in the darkness and we enjoyed that. But otherwise, it was always an area of the...

MK Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

I realized this morning that without context this might not make sense: Riding Space Mountain at DL involves heading into a dead land, winding through barren walkways until you get to the theming in the last 20-30% of the queue. Whereas in MK, even walking up to space is part of the...
