Agreed. Intense coasters can be found anywhere. I like Cedar Point for what it is, but I'd rather ride FOP when I'm at Disney. I would not be opposed to a thrilling Villains land coaster but the theming would be a lot more important to me than the Captain Coaster score.

I think the Yzma coaster idea is too perfect for Disney to actually consider. Villains land can't all be the scariest villains in Disney movie history. Maleficent ride is a no-brainer, but this coaster is 1) something tied to the actual movie, like the Door coaster, 2) from an overlooked but...

The main reason Josh got this job is so that Iger can also hand pick the successor for Experiences, ensuring his vision will continue long after he's out.

We give Disney Experiences heck for the slow pace of construction, but we don’t give them nearly enough credit for their efficiency in erasing prior attractions from existence. Impressive.

Yeah I agree, but Disney has to do something with the beyond AC space at some point. Launch Bay and a bunch of aging office spaces/warehouses can't be the future they envision for that side of the park.

Not putting words in mouth, but I think they meant new attractions period, not new IP content. Disney isn't going to allow a park to be built with its brand if it's not full of their IP.

If there are any resorts or restaurants associated with the park I'm sure they will serve. Any non-Muslim can drink in UAE in approved locations.

I don't know. I think even upper middle class is going to rethink extravagant vacation spending, or at least reduce the amount of trips taken. Expect a lot more special offers over the next couple of years, if things stay the current course.

First of all, the days of proactive decision-making at Disney are long gone, so this scenario seems unlikely. Second, the cost of materials needed to build is about to skyrocket, so working on anything not already in motion is going to get a lot more expensive, regardless of interest rates.

There's Apples. And there's Oranges. This list has both. But point taken, "magic" only goes so far.
