    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

^The pic I posted above shows the top front window disassembed and in multiple parts resting on scaffolding... so something beyond a paint job is going on...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

^As do I. We both know it won't happen (Tokyo & MK will not change their icons that are beloved by generations for the sake of global uniqueness). BUT, we're closer than I'd ever thought we'd be thanks this thanks to the HKDL project.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

^ Hah! Yeah, looking at a close-up of the castle, I see now where it goes. False alarm. Maybe it's the (Hong Kong-like) color or seeing it in isolation threw me for a loop.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

I found this image very surprising: This is the Cindy Castle refurb, which would indicate a significantly different skin is going on it - at least the upper parts: 1. I couldn't see OLC doing this without a big announcement, artwork, etc.. 2. I assume the Japanese audience is even more...

When will Indy & PotC get Disney+ spinoffs?

^I'd welcome docs on those rides, as well. The Spin-offs I'm imagining would divorce themselves from the major stars of the films (Depp & Ford), with perhaps a cameo. PotC Filmic Universe, has an established feel, roster of characters and mythology, so it should be easy to take minor film...

When will Indy & PotC get Disney+ spinoffs?

With platinum brands Marvel and Star Wars getting multiple spin-offs per franchise, how about a little love for Disney's other elite-but-feeling-ignored adventure properties: Pirates & Indiana Jones, both well-suited for short & expensive serial-style shows, like The Mandalorian. I'm sure it's...

    New Horizons Remake 2019

So much great original music was created for the classic EPCOT CENTER... It was a golden age for the discerning theme park fan that won't come again. Glad I got to experience it at just the right moment.

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land?????

This is my fav pic to date of the castle - because it takes the original out of equation. source: https://twitter.com/hkdl_of_fantasy Supermodel proportions.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Lots of notable pics on the TDL expansion from Japanese twitter today: https://twitter.com/minnie_level_X Here are a few: Overall State: Knew this was going to be an issue from the Model release long ago: B&B showbuilding gets the "Go-Away-Green" Treatment in Toontown: Painted flat(ish)...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

^ Agreed. I'm fine with the TDL Hotel, but it doesn't have the elegant proportions nor the restraint that the DLP hotel/Grand Floridian (original version) have and is somewhat clunky and overbearing in its (McMansionish) application of ornament. Disney's "Mictorian" Hotels are inspired by...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

The execution of the themed hotel will be critical to this land (as will blocking out the midrise unthemed hotels which loom nearby). I don't have a ton of confidence that Iger's Disney has the ability/will to design & build a themed resort hotel that is architecturally worthy of being onstage...

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Pics of Fantasy Springs expansion model have hit Twitter: It's early, basic foam, so it doesn't overly-impress, but interesting to learn how it will be laid out.

Ideas for Star Wars shows on Disney+

While there seems to be a movement towards smaller scale, more intimate series, I'll vote the other way: for an epic, big-budget military/war series. I'd like to see acknowledgement of a much wider war than what we've seen the famous characters involved in on screen to date. Trafalgar in...
