I know most are arguing that there will be increased ride share usage or the train...or even possibly a new alternative from Disney- but what impact will increased rental car usage bring? Many parking lots are too small for paying guests of the resort and resort visitors (dining, shopping etc)...

Well as a DVC owner....I will start renting cars for our trips after all I don’t pay for parking- will be interesting to see the impact of parking availability on the rest of the resort as I am now taking a spot up. Less for the paying guests or the people trying to visit a resort...

For me, the perfect spot is the Tiki Terrace at the Polynesian late in the afternoon. There are nice seats, views of the torch lighting ceremony, access to drinks & Dole Whips - If I stay there long enough I will sometimes grab the Thai coconut meatballs from Capt. Cook's.

In the middle of the summer it might just be a Flambe.

If your intention is to do the MK...think about a monorail crawl - either drinks or food. There are great lounges (California Grill, Tambu Lounge and Mizner's to get drinks and/or small plates) or you could hit quick services (Contempo Cafe, Capt Cooks and Gasparilla Grill) for a different take...

Keep in mind they released the "free" dining promotion for an earlier time frame this year, so either they are trying to squeeze more from that crowd or have not gotten the usual rush for those offers. Personally I am kind of happy about the info coming out so early, I planned a late August...
