This looks more like tried-and-true concept art to me, done on a Wacom or similar tablet. The monster in the baby carrier is a fun little touch to sell the Monstropolis concept and theming. I don’t see any of the usual weird tells here that would make me wonder if it’s AI.
It would be great if...
Did an artist at one point or another provide input or guidelines or touchups for the OBB work? I wouldn’t doubt that. But when I look at the mangled hands and freakishly long arms on that second poster — or the soulless eyes Mickey & Minnie have on the first poster — I see the same uncanny...
It’s hard to say with the bus ads — they have that look, but a lot of AI-generated art has that knockoff “Disney” thing happening so it’s almost like a snake eating its own tail at this point. They definitely are using AI in some of their design work these days; the posters for Oogie Boogie Bash...
There’s a focus here on a tangible, not-too-distant future and the ways we can benefit from it that I haven’t seen in EPCOT in a long time. It’s that sort of small optimism for what’s on the horizon — as opposed to the recent mantra of “why wait for the future when things are so great now?” —...
I like the idea of these posters, but the execution…yikes. The hands on “Invasion” look awful and Mickey & Minnie’s faces are super creepy. The “Is this AI?” thing can get annoying when it’s just bad art, but these look too uncanny at first glance.
Hi, friends! I finished my most recent video essay, which is a breakdown/post-mortem of Galaxy’s Edge (specifically the DL location). I discuss placement, theme/story elements, attractions and wax philosophical on the relationship between CMs and guests in GE versus the same relationship outside...
Here’s what I posted on IU:
I highly recommend Early Entry if it’s an option for you; I started with D&D, which I figured would be popular and generally had the highest wait times through the night (~20 minutes).
Star Trek and Jujutsu Kaisen came after with minimal waits and after those it was...
I went to Fan Fest Night #1 last night and compiled my experiences into this review, which has some footage of the experiences (sorry for the spoilers!) and some insights and tips for those going.
Wow, I had no idea this effect has been down for so long! Spinning the car through this tunnel was my favorite part of the ride but I haven’t been on it in almost 20 years.
Respectfully disagree. Right now studios are trying to figure out ways to incorporate AI into voice acting, writing, and various production/post work. You’re correct in that AI won’t totally replace a human workforce, but there’s a possible future where a lot of people will lose work to it.
No disrespect, but this kind of response is the problem. You made a big deal a few weeks ago about how transparency from insiders (or “insiders”) is vital, and here you’re doing the complete opposite. Having legitimate information is totally different from just guessing based on trends. The fact...
