Isn't LA always heavily concerned with water shortages though? I'm sure a water park is logistically feasible, but I think might not play well from a PR perspective.
I really enjoyed what they put out here. For once, it wasn't all self-congratulatory corporate buzzword throw up and there was actual substance.
The more I see of TBA, the more I wonder if Disney is actually turning around.
Nothing about this is cheap. It's a World's Fair style complex of gardens with two really expensive attractions. It's going to have Bellagio style fountains and architecturally interesting restaurants and shops. Nothing about it is "cheaper" than an alternative. What could have made it more...
You're seeing all that complex fountain work, massive scale, two expensive, unique attractions and think it's "cheap"?
Meanwhile, Disney actually went for the cheapest option of copy and pasting a Silicon Valley corporate park into Epcot after spending 5 years and millions to play with dirt...
Other than Fast and Furious, I don't agree. Gringotts certainly services fans of the franchise with an impressive and atmospheric queue, and while the actual ride portion suffers from pacing issues in the second half, it definitely delivers on a thrilling mine cart ride through the vaults. I...
A difference I've noticed is that Universal's newer attractions don't rely on your knowledge of the IP to be appealing. I don't think you need to have seen a Jurassic World film to be thrilled by an assault by the Indominous Rex, or have seen a Secret Life of Pets movie to appreciate its complex...
To add, it also shows the train emerging from the backstage storage area.
It's interesting to see how barren the railroad route was back then. I wish the downtime for Tron had allowed for major additions to the railroad. Perhaps an older era of Disney would have cared.
Do you recollect where you got this information from? I Googled Jackson but didn't get any animatronic specific results. Are A5 animatronics just for Magic Skyway, or does that designation also apply to UoE or CTX? If there's any published work by him or quotes in Disney published material, I...
Explain to me what the concept art and changes were/are conveying.
Explain to me what the theme of the park is.
Further, playing dumb isn't going to make anyone agree with you. It's just, well, you pretending to not understand the difference between creative vision and corporate cynicism.
It could not be any clearer that there is no vision for Epcot going forward. The new gardens were slapped together because they needed to get something done quickly.
Epcot has no theme, other than "the magic of possibility", because the company does not care. The vision for the park is a giant...
As a passholder to both DLR and WDW, that's another reason that I very much prefer DLR. The first time I went in 2018, I was really surprised by how different the behavior was. Yeah, you're always going to have your obnoxious people who do stupid things, but it is far less frequent in California...
I believe Alicia Stella may have mentioned that the technology needed to pull off the show was not working out. I don't know for sure if she said that, but I heard it somewhere, so I'm assuming it was her.
I do wonder if paid early-entry is on the table too. I did it for $20 (I think?) for SNW in Hollywood and it was definitely worth the cost for an almost empty land during their off season.
Every time I visit Disneyland it's consistently busy, and Galaxy's Edge is always empty compared to the rest of the park. Rise always has a decent wait, but it's usually lower than Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion (with Nightmare Before Christmas overlay), Matterhorn and a handful of others...
