Actually the prix fixe meal at Chef de France in Epcot is quite good and includes a glass of wine. They serve a huge portion too.

It's funny that I've seen cost difference mentioned several times. We rented DVC points for our upcoming trip in October. 5 nights in an OKW studio is only about $100 more (total) than 5 nights at POP. POFQ runs about $80-100 more/night than POP. To me that's a no brainer.

We've stayed at both. 2 or 3 times at POFQ and about 5 times at OKW. We're big Key West geeks (the real one , you know, down in the Keys) and I find the architecture and landscaping quite reminiscent of the real one. Not nearly enough bars and live music though. Our accommodations were...

With you staying next door at FQ, you may wish to head over to Riverside one evening (Wed-Sat.) and catch Yehaa Bob Jackson. He puts on a great show!

I would echo JIMINYCR's opinion. We were there last November and had the very same dishes. The food and service were both quite good. After dinner we spent a couple of hours in the lounge with Yehaa Bob Jackson. Great show.

It's all about the money. Why build values & moderates that go for $175-$300/nt when they can build deluxe (and DVC) that go for $500+/nt?

Anytime Mrs. P and I stayed at Pop we requested an upper floor facing the lake. Sometimes we got it, sometimes not. As other posters stated though, it's all about the neighbors...
