    Need help w/ 1st deluxe experience - 1st on-site visit in a long time

Have done WL, Poly and Contemporary. Past visits were mostly WL, which we love. Our last stay was at Contemporary in the Garden Wing. Thought we would hate it - but it now has taken over first place for us. Easy walk to MK, monorail service, food options all good.

Covid Vaccine Updates and General Discussion About Vaccines

We had our Pfizer boosters Sept. 29th. Aside from slightly sore arms, all 3 of us had no reaction. We also had no reaction to the first 2 - except arm soreness.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Within the last day I have seen more and more masks being worn in stores/malls around here. Guess people are starting to get a bit worried about the spread again- with good reason.

There are a number of shows starting up in September on Broadway: Wicked, Lion King, Waitress, Come From Away, Hamilton, Hades Town, Aladdin for example. The other shows - on and off Broadway - are starting anywhere from October through January.

NYC Mayor DeBlasio is now offering $100 debit cards at state-run sites to get people vaccinated. While that might not be enough incentive, hopefully for some the $100 will help them decide to get it. https://nypost.com/2021/07/28/de-blasio-announces-100-incentive-to-get-covid-vaccine-in-nyc/

What would it take for you to NOT go back?

Another huge covid spike in the Disneyworld area would keep me from going again, or NY putting back travel restrictions such as negative covid tests. Our 5/1-5/7 trip just made the "cut-off" of Disney lowering some covid precautions - temp checks were discontinued our last day there. (which I...

We have a great vaccination rate here. However, while we have been "opening up" our lives again (DW this past May - with mask requirement at that time) we are still worried about those non-vaccinated who are not wearing masks as asked to here. We went to Hope you are right, but our cases are...

Not great new here: https://longisland.news12.com/long-island-has-the-highest-number-of-covid-19-cases-in-a-month Camps started up yesterday, so it will be interesting to see the numbers go in a few weeks. Many people are still wearing masks in stores. We went to Atlantic City over July 4th...

I can't believe this thread has gone on for 13 pages - lol! Gives me my morning giggle each time I check it.

Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace for dinner at Magic Kingdom

Probably. They really started reducing the physical distancing and discontinued the temp checks the day we left for home. The tables were very spread out in LTT. I am sure once they start the show again in DH (if they do) they will bring everyone back into LTT. I am sure you can request to...

Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace for dinner at Magic Kingdom

We ate at LTT in May. We had never eaten there before. We were seated in the Diamond Horseshoe area - but at a great table right next to the stage (player piano) on a raised seating area. It was just our table up there. Food was good and plentiful and our waiter brought us more of anything...

NY just dropped their "state of emergency" for covid today. Big step. Masks still must be worn in Dr. offices, nursing homes, homeless shelters and mass transportation.

Future of Walt Disney World Waterparks?

I think Disney will not invest any more $$ into upgrading their waterparks. To tell you the truth I was not that impressed with Volcano Bay when we went. As far as River Country went, my kids always came out of there with ear infections! The water was kinda gross, with the ducks and all...

Most travel policies will cover pre-existing conditions if you buy within a certain period of time. The company I use (Travelguard) has a 14 day time period. As soon as we book a vacay (that includes Disney, cruises, etc.) my next call is to buy trip insurance as 3 in my family have...
