I agree that the decision maker should always be the parent. For example, a friend of the family has a compromised child who Does Not do well with other people. Not even ones she knows. Her Mom asked us if WDW would be okay to take her to. I said if she can stand large, loud crowds, loud...
I completely understand what you are going through, and it is not fun or easy. My grandson is going through the same thing. His last episode had him using the BR every 20 minutes around the clock. That is a drastic and fortunately ,not a common problem. He couldn't work because of that. He...
I think this will cause a horror show of people who don't know about a person getting the leave the queue for the bathroom pass. Right now we read stories of people who physically stop people from going back in line for whatever reason. They assume that that person is line skipping. People...
You are right! I have an invisible disability and am 100% disabled because of it. You should see the looks I get when parking in the handicapped space. It used to bother me a lot but now I just look away and go on. We all need to learn not to be so judgmental about others. We don't know...
Thank you Tuvalu:) I was wondering if it turned you upside down or something? I am glad that I never had the chance to ride that one. It sounds too scary for me, the big chicken, LOL
I've been following this thread for quite a while, and just want to make a few comments.
I don't understand why some people make rude, sometimes mean, comments about one poster in particular.
This poster, TP2000, goes to the trouble of posting the up to date charts. Some on here then comment...
The first week of December was usually nice when we went at that time. We have done that many times and never had bad weather that I can remember. But you never know what you will get anytime of the year.
That's a great time to go. I have visited 2 weeks before TG before and it was cheaper and less crowds. Of course, that was before covid. I have a trip scheduled to Universal 2 weeks before TG now. We used to go at this time a lot and loved it. The first part of December used to be nice too...
Every trip since l977 was magical for me. However, our childrens first trip when they were 5 and 7, and later my grandchildren's first trip. To see the magic of Disney through their eyes was a wonderful experience.
FWIW: We have been going to Disney since l977. We went yearly or twice a year from 2011. We definitely noticed a change in the staffing around 2018. A lot of the attraction capacity was less, with only one track or side operating most of the time. The number of CM's were down too. And this...
When I was a kid, back in the dark ages, we didn't have a WDW to go to. We only had small amusement parks usually at a lake. So that's where I rode an old wooden roller coaster and was scared out of my wits. I still don't like roller coasters to this day:)
We first went to WDW in l977, and a lot of ladies wore dresses and the men dressed up a bit too. It was lovely and not very crowded at all. It was clean and the CM's all seemed happy to be there. What I remember the most was that there was no stress involved with our visit. We just wandered...
