MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

Interestingly the Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland Paris also closes upcoming Monday for an extensive 6 month refurbishment, despite having a year long one only 6 years ago. I am curious if WDI is changing things to both rides at the same time.

News New Space Mountain Coming to Tokyo Disneyland in 2027

Have you done the one in Disneyland? Because the Tokyo one was an almost carbon copy of that one.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I might be hallucinating, but wasn't there a park that extended the top of Mainstreet to house the projectors? As in they built new floors on top.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

The mix of tourists have also changed, Chinese tourist still haven't recovered while the western ones have boomed. I can imagine that the grow of westerns in Disneyland is larger than that number makes it look like.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Why would they hurry up now? Its slow season with lots of discounts. So it totally makes sense that Paris decides to give you a subpar experience. Its very on brand for them :D.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

There is quite some evidence that they focus on a higher yield per capita. The more bigger vacation packages, Disney premier access, ticket price increases, only single day tickets and most importantly their sudden focus on overseas visitors. I really don't see them going back with AP's except...

There is also Walt's on the second floor of one of the blocks. All the other second floors are occupied by offices if I am correct.

    Efteling's Danse Macabre - re-imagining done right

This is german not dutch 😭 Danse Macabre is incredible and Disney level worth for the same budget that Imagineering builds a giftshop. Efteling is incredible with the budgets that they have and I feel very fortunate to be able to call it my home park. Both this and Villa Volta are the rides...

EPCOT Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

I am curious why introducing a single rider is such a bigger hassle in the US versus France. Paris has three numbers on the floor at the gates to indicate the seating. Does the Epcot one not have these numbers?

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Don't forget that when Fantasy Springs was designed the park attracted 14.6 million people annually, they most likely expected to break the 15 mil barrier after FS. However with the removal of AP and their new strategy that number has dropped to 12.4 in 2023.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Of all the systems you can have, having a very expensive single skip the line option is actually the best for everybody.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

I am wondering if this is the next step to slowly morph the system into Disney Premier Access. Get rid of of Lightning Lane and only sell the single or all attractions once option like Tokyo (only single)/Shanghai/Hong Kong and Paris has. Regarding VIP, it wouldn't surprise me if a price hike...

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

I am hearing Vekoma is doing the retrack. They also did the renovation in Paris in 2015/2016 which lasted for 13 months. I expect a similar timeline here.

News New Space Mountain Coming to Tokyo Disneyland in 2027

No they already confirmed a 2027 date, OLC is Japanese. They open things at that date, not a second earlier or later :D

News New Space Mountain Coming to Tokyo Disneyland in 2027

I expect an early 2027 opening, usually they want to open things in the spring. So that is a bit more than 2 years, include extensive testing and a soft opening period and you really don't have that much time. The 2027 date includes the re-do of the area where the old showbuilding was + the area...
