News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

Just for clarification, you're referring to a prefab pedestrian span that is mostly constructed off site and trucked in then set in place. I'm referring to the structure displayed in the site plans that were released, which shows that it is more similar to the DTD bridge span over Disneyland Dr...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

My mistake. I meant to say Disney Way and mistakenly put Magic Way. The parking structure I'm referring to is the new Eastern Gateway parking structure.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

The Harbor bridge structure will most likely be structurally similar to the concrete bridge spanning Disneyland Dr for DTD. These structures usually take 18 to 24 months and do not need to have long closers for an active road underneath. Maybe some overnight closings to install and remove...

Disneyland Fantasmic Dragon Engulfed in Flames

It seems obvious to me this is a stop-gap iteration of the show, just a way to bring the show back with what they have available at the moment. It appears all pit infrastructure has been removed, including Aladdin's magic carpet. I would be incredibly disappointed if they abandoned utilizing the...

    DisneylandForward

Cosmic Rewind is probably the most fun ride experience I've been on, overall, ever! I was truly in awe the entire ride, including preshow. But I say keep it at Epcot. It's also so massive of an attraction footprint, I literally can't see it fitting anywhere at the DLR. Honestly, it's huge. And...

Disneyland Fantasmic Dragon Engulfed in Flames

The DHS version is all nice and dandy, and has some pretty nice show scenes too, especially the new ones. It's also easier in and out compared to Disneyland's, which is especially nice on my back and legs. But I noticed something missing whenever watching the version at Hollywood Studios, and...

Disneyland Fantasmic Dragon Engulfed in Flames

Looks like a fancy B-Roll is the new A-Roll for the time being as Entertainment and Imagineering "dream up something new." Well, at least Fantasmic is back in some sort of fashion. The fire is cool, but a compromise indeed.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

I see this becoming a chicken and the egg scenario. Let's just say this. If DisneylandForward did not pass, Disney could still move forward with an Eastern Gateway project. However, they could not continue with theme park expansion west of Disneyland Dr or retail into Toy Story. So no, the...

    DisneylandForward

As much as I dislike the Pixar Pier makeover, Bob Chapik probably saw it as a success, and if asked probably still does. And this, unfortunately , is exactly what they board wants. The place is packed and the guest satisfaction numbers are probably just inside where Disney likes them to be. Gold...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

But the Eastern Gateway was never truly dependent on any rezoning proposals included in DisneylandForward. I mean, the project, albeit the smaller project that kept the former ICE building intact, was already rolling back in 2017. It would've been finished years ago if it wasn't cancelled (scary...

    DisneylandForward

It would most definitely be a problem. Just like a fire in a highrise and a 10 car pile up on the freeway. But these are anecdotal problems and have never stopped these kinds of projects before. Not to mention this form of transportation is nothing new and has a decent track record compared to...

    Is that ever any fun?

    DisneylandForward

I can't see why they can't bring a version of the Disney Skyway to the DLR. It moves loads of people and is much more cost efficient than a continuous elevated fixed structure that needs large amounts of right of way and could be very costly. Not to mention they are fun (unless it's closing time).

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I'm sure both will look great. Both already do, imo. MK has the benefit of more room so more to work with, but that doesn't take anything away from the DL exterior. Just like with Big Thunder, I personally prefer the larger exterior of the MK version. That being said, the MK version has always...

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

Interesting differences. I didn't even pick up on them the last time I rode each version, both last year. All I remember is that I didn't like either version lol Hopefully whatever changes they do to the DL version is a noticeable improvement. Crossing fingers
