The show component is honestly what confuses me the most about this project. I’m happy to be proven wrong, but I have a really difficult time thinking of a compelling show, based on this property, that would provide a significant draw/boost capacity beyond what Muppets would still be able to do...
The one slight disappointment is that it appears that there are no new effects/missions, just the reskinned one (compared to the KP/Agent P switchover which added quite a few new effects.
Although, credit where due, the new storylines feel somewhat better connected/more natural than the Agent P...
I think this is confusion on the existing buses that have always been deployed in the event of a Skyliner downtime. These buses used to run from the Boardwalk, which eventually changed over to using the Beach Club bus stop. The only way this would be news if it was pivoting this downtime stop...
I'll never understand the "relocate the barges" argument. Yes, they were expensive and I'm sure Disney would rather not let them go to waste, but of the options available:
MK, DHS, DL, DCA, TDL, DLP, HKDL, and SDL all have nowhere to put them.
Animal Kingdom has a lagoon they could...
Pure guess work is that this is meant to replace things that the sandwich boards have been used for historically. There appears to be a growing disdain for them internally.
Honestly, I'm struggling to reckon with the optics of a Zootopia attraction acting as a retheme of Dinosaur, even putting aside all of the concerns with it fitting cohesively into DAK. The EMV ride system is best used to convey a sense of danger and urgency, and really the only way I can think...
Admittedly, this project's seeming scope came out of nowhere for me. I had heard about a potential switch in show, but always assumed it would at least use the compass barges (the tacos). EF supposedly being brought back inclines me to think that we are staring down the barrel of a much bigger...
This is absolutely an option and the reason why the concept is the way it is. The Dinoland project was always two phases. We just have to hope this Phase 2 goes the way of most phase 2's.
This is the story that’s been the funniest to me to see trickle out between different news outlets. The ship went in service in Mid-July and it wasn’t until early August I saw anyone talking about it.
Intended as a direction check. In general, the Skyliner station is known to be confusing to first-timers with the way its laid out. Riviera, being the only pass through station, is among the worst of issues. Hence its become standard for guests to be asked if they intend to get off at...
While I know the cost conscious nature of current management can seem like would lead to maintenance as a whole slipping, ever since the Big Thunder incident, safety critical maintenance has remained a massive priority at DLR, so I’d be shocked for anything like that to happen again.
