News 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort reopening in April 2024

I don’t understand why everything is turning into a character experience. Some people don’t like characters and it’s just awkward to wave at the character and act disinterested. They really need a non-character section for the restaurants so it can be “inclusive” for all types of diners.

When are all these cutbacks not about COVID anymore?

The cost to benefit is in the eye of the purchaser, and as with most Disney guests there are some that will pay for a Disney experience no matter what because of brand value. When that begins to change and more people decide not to spend the dollars in Disney they will discount, offer packages...

When are all these cutbacks not about COVID anymore?

Thats the amazing thing about free markets and supply/demand. They can charge what they have been charging because there is demand for people to still pay for it. When the demand stops they will determine next cases. This is why not every hotel has been brought back online. Ultimately Disney...

    Frustrating

Thanks all for the tips, we called and they had cancelled our ticket to refund us instead of extending for the months they were closed. But they allowed us to renew our pass at the renewal rate and it won't be active until we use it for the first time which will help us extend it longer. Still...

    Frustrating

I am very annoyed at this entire new process, and Disney really isn't being customer focused on multiple fronts. I understand Aulani is closed and may still be closed for awhile. I have reservations booked in October and was thinking as a DVC member I would move my reservation over to WDW since...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I am so gutted. I had reservations for May 27th and while it was a long shot that the parks could reopen I was hoping that in some capacity I might still be able to go. And while Disney has not cancelled the reservation I was just told by my job that if I did travel to FL I would have to...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I have a reservation which has not been cancelled as of it for May 27th, so it remains to be seen if they will soft open in some capacity around Memorial Day weekend. Maybe with existing reservations as a small local AP and phase up by June 1st. I would assume if they were not planning to open...

    WDW Reopening Estimates

Does anyone think as restrictions are easing that Disney is wanting to start a rolling open around Memorial Day? Since they seem to be rolling the cancellations week to week, but have not pushed back reservations beyond June 1st I am thinking there is some thought to attempt to start opening...

POLL: When are you planning to return to Walt Disney World?

I have a trip planned for May 27 and hoping the hotels will reopen by then at least even if the parks may not open until June 1st. Ill take a couple days by the pool and Disney springs. Hoping I don't have to cancel because I am not sure when I will be able to come back after that.

Is the parks going to be open in May of this year and is there going to be screening done at the hotels.

Can we allow Disney to "open" so all these entitled selfish people can go there, get trapped, and let natural selection do its job.

News Walt Disney Co. forms strategic alliance with Impossible Foods to make the Impossible Burger the Preferred Plant-Based Burger of Walt Disney World

They had the impossible burger on Disney Cruise when I was on the ship a few weeks ago. It was decent, a little over cooked and dry, but I’m glad there is a different option. I prefer it over the beyond burger.

News Temporary Starbucks to open at Epcot

I don’t understand, if this is a temporary location why does it look like they are building a permanent building? What will it be used for after.

    Entertainment cuts

Perhaps you are the naive one? My point was not about the enjoyment of what Disney has to offer but that the customer “shareholder” should not have to be investing more into the parks to get a lower return. Raising prices and then removing entertainment to “save costs“ and then winning at the...

    Entertainment cuts

Disney seems to have forgotten that their biggest shareholder is the customer in the gates, not always the paper shareholders. For a company that keeps boasting record profits those need to be reinvested into the parks and maintain or improve what exists already. Throwing money into new rides...

    CRT New Upcharge

I find it funny that people complain that Disney charges these ridiculous event prices. Would I personally pay for these events, no. Is it ridiculous? Well, that is in the eye of the beholder. The thing is that Disney will do these things because people are willing to pay for it. When people...
