It was a nice place to duck into when it rains.

Definitely no to Bob Marley's after 9pm - it becomes a packed house of reggae music lovers and dancers and they convert the courtyard into a dance floor by removing all of the dining tables; but before 9pm I think it would be ok. Magaritaville would be more appropriate at all hours of the day...

Back on topic, Starbillas, great place to browse and not buy and stay out of the rain. I always wanted to ask that animated psychic in the corner when some of the PI clubs would open. I'll miss viewing the Rolling Stones caricatures too.

The simple solution is go do your shopping, dining, browsing, or whatever at DTD / PI during the day / early evening, then take the 15 minute drive to City Walk and enjoy the vibrant nightlife - capture the current best of both worlds.

As a former local, regular PI patron, that's exactly what I've been doing since PI closed, that is, bar hopping at City Walk (Universal) and the place just keeps getting better every weekend. Having said that, I still miss PI and would probably go back if they ever re-opened the clubs.

Here's a youtube link to a recently posted video showing the PI DJ interacting with the crowd along with the stiltwalkers. It appears to be early in the evening so thats probably why so many kids are shown in the video; I would expect to see more adults goofin' off later in the evening...

The new DJ booth location and DJ crowd interaction tasks are an inprovement to the old PI Live set-up. Its designed to get people, young, old, and in between involved. Often times, the people involved provide the best entertainment, its spontaneous and full of suprises. People like to watch...

:( City Walk Annual Passes for former Pleasure Island patrons expire on March 31, 2009; no more annual passes offerred for renewal (as far as I know). Thank you City Walk for your genorosity and hospitality. You guys are doing a great job with City Walk; it keeps getting better and better...

I saw the big, yellow ballon yesterday up close - what an eye catcher for sure. However, I'll just watch others enjoy the ride because I'm a little paranoid about some nut shooting the balloon in flight - it's an awful big target.

The rumor is that the current "PI Live" DJ Booth on Pleasure Island will be moved to the location above the Laffer's Cantina (across from Adventurer's Club). It will operated by more than one DJ at a time. The second rumor is that both the Mannequins and 8 Trax clubs will be restored and...

As Downtown Disney/PI shrinks, City Walk continues to grow

Oh, so that's the name of the band that played on the Plaza Stage last Saturday evening. I enjoyed that blues band as well; hope they return to the City Walk Plaza Stage for another gig.
