Any hints as to when Trader Sam's Grog Grotto re-opens?

Now that it’s open, how has the line been to get in. I saw opening day was super long. Are they doing virtual ques? Looking to go in August but don’t want to spend hours waiting in line.

    News Ohana reopening July 9th

We originally booked Ohana without knowing the price. We were open to trying some new items but after seeing that it’s $58 we canceled. There are much better dining options out there for a more reasonable price. Nothing on the menu stands out to justify that price. It should really be in the $39...

    Epcot ...

Sorry for your experience but I totally agree. I work hard for my money and it makes no sense to pay full price for something and not get full services. I hear people saying but at least your in Disney but I just don’t get it. It’s like going to a restaurant and ordering a 12oz steak but the...

    Le Cellier all to ourselves

So I guess this really confirms that the DDP affects the ways guests dine. It would be really hard for me to justify paying cash for a meal there. Apparently many guests feel the same.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

We need to really educate ourselves and take responsibility. This is way beyond the flu. You can’t just look at the numbers in a broad spectrum. The number of cases for the flu decrease in March into spring and summer. We can not say for certain that this is the case for Corona. As of now it is...

    If we don't finish our wine . . .

I couldn’t finish a 1 liter beer in Germany during dinner. They gave me a plastic cup and I finished it as I strolled around Epcot. Anything opened would have to be finished before leaving the premises. I believe the only exception to carrying leftovers would be Magic Kingdom since the rest of...

Quick service dining - best way to use

Agreed. We tend to share meals at Flame tree, Pecos Bills, most QS at Epcot and ABC Commissary (new menu is pretty good and the portions are large). We walk away satisfied but not overly full and with 2 snacks we are never hungry. Then you would have some credits for breakfast that you could use.

    Rock Hunting! (Where's my brick?)

Our brick is down the pathway towards the Grand. We have only visited it a handful of times. I think guest services will look it up to see where it is roughly located. BTW they are removing the bricks. They have started removing some that are in front of Magic Kingdom. Hope you get to see it 1...

Double drinks on the Disney dining plan?

I believe that if it’s a buffet then you can get both because a non alcoholic beverage is included with the buffet.

    Room security checks

Stayed at CBR and Poly recently. CBR knocked around 10:30am stating they needed to do a security check (since we opted out of mousekeeping). Walked all the way in and right out took all of 20 secs. At Poly staying on points knocked around the same time in the am and said they were just there for...

    DVC Soarin tour

We you book it they tell you that you must present your card and the cardholder must be present. Done DL twice and they never asked for a card, but it was the same guide both times. I feel WDW will handle it differently because I believe you need to show up for the tour before official park...

    Help With Itinerary

Park hopping can take some time using Disney Transportation. Allow at the very minimum 1 hour (Disney recommends 2 hours), and that’s if you catch the bus as it pulls up. Park hopping sounds great in theory but we always found it to be too exhausting. Something to think about.

Ways of prepaying for food other than the dining plan?

Use your cash back credit card at Sams Club. Sams has Disney cards for a 4% discount.

Ways of prepaying for food other than the dining plan?

Because the cash back offered by Disney Visa is minimal. There are much better rewards cards out there.
