We live 10 hours from Disney.... Our trip is planned for November 10th - 17th so our only option is the passholder preview or the possibility the area is open during that week to the general public....

That's sad. It was always so cool to watch them embroider by hand. I haven't bought any ears in probably over 5 years. I guess you only need so many pairs. :-)
