Disney will transfer your luggage to the new resort for you. All you have to do is check-in as usual. I was told they may be able to transport you, AND your luggage all at once if its not really busy. I have to call about the same thing. we're at pop on the 16th, and SSR through the 23rd.

Southwest does NOT allow you to check luggage at the resort. You will have to load it onto the DME and check it at the airport. I know...it stinks! I'm going in less than 3 weeks. Lets just be thankful they aren't charging for bags (yet)!!!!!

We did the same thing. It was cheaper to fly down the 16th at night, and stay 1 night at Pop, than it was to fly down in the AM the 17th, and got striaght to SSR. so we're going the night before, and the bonus is, we'll be there early enough to make our 12pm Le Cellier ADR. :)
