I just remembered something I read around the late nineties. Frank Oz said he hated being considered the "voice" of Fozzie, Miss Piggy, etc. He was trying to say what matters even more than voice was capturing their personality and acting.

Good point. Voices change as we age. 1934 (Wise Little Hen) Donald sounds different from 1984 Donald (50th Birthday TV special...or Mickey's Christmas Carol the year before), though same exact person throughout. Identical ages with Goelz: also started at 29...latest performances at 79 (though...

And thank goodness for that! I love Tony. I love that he was (unwittingly) trained personally by Clarence Nash. But I always noticed the difference (but 0 complaints!). That being said I think the "Racers" Donald is terrible!

It remains in all the concept art...sure they long-before made specific plans for its repurposing....but I couldn't help but wonder if it has to do with it's placement over the Utilidoors?

yeah...Imagination 1.0 was a "chef's kiss"....made you feel Disney genuinely loved and appreciated you (and not so much your dollars). That being said, when's the last time anyone heard someone say "Disney please take my money" because of something that really impressed someone?

And...Two more points: First...one of my favorite Christmas traditions was having the TV parade on in the background while opening presents, etc. Fast forward to last year being the first time I didn't even give it a chance (sorry/not sorry, call me a prude, but gyrating in "barely there"...

I doubt it was intentional...but the fact several years passed between the end of demo of 20K and the start of construction of New Fantasyland did make watching its construction more appealing imo.

...and imo that's primarily b/c Spaceship Earth is the first thing everyone sees (and the curiosity of seeing "what's inside the big golf ball?")
