Here the taxes and whatnot on gas get factored right into the price. So they are passed right in to the costumer. The store owner doesn't have to pay any of them.

I have no doubt that the quality of the food at Universal probably matches Disney but I'm with the OP in terms of selection. We have not gone there yet but are planning a trip ands have been to Disney oodles. And when I look at the menus at Universal, with some exceptions, they seem so boring...

I am with you. It's much too commercialized. I buy a small amount of gifts and 90% of it is done online and 5% at the couple of craft fairs I go to. The stores just turn me off Christmas. That being said, I do see a lot of generosity at Christmas that I don't see at other times of the year...
