The same thing happened to me before I moved down in 2004. You have to be a local who can be called in for an interview with very little notice and unless you live here that won't happen. Plus there are plenty of local folks who need employment so they aren't going to take someone out of state...

You can still do the Studios but just be advised they close early those nights but the crowds in October aren't too bad. If you get there early, you should be able to do everything before closing time. IOA closes at 7pm on HHN nights.

Sundays are usually not as crowded as Friday and Saturday BUT...in recent years it's been busy on Sundays as well. I don't think you'll see a huge drop in the crowds unless it's bad weather or something. BTW...all eight cases have apparently been updated on the website. Check it out...if...

Monday and I would wait until you arrive to purchase the Express passes. If you find the wait times are too long for you, purchase the EP's at either park.

I always buy a Frequent Fear pass since I live 20 mins away so I'll be going all month long...mainly on Sundays though.

Right...Your Express pass will work just like it does during the day with Express access to each attraction open as well as the houses. I always recommend people do the houses first and the rides later...I mean...you can do the rides during the day. HHN only comes once a year.

Well...the Studios will close at 5pm some days in October due to HHN...the normal closing time is 6pm.

The crowds at Universal during October are generally light except on HHN nights. On those dates, the crowds usually start showing up in the afternoon but otherwise...it's not bad.

This will be my fifith consecutive HHN and I don't miss it for the world! The Express pass is a must for HHN and since you're going on 10/19 (Sunday) it's considered off-peak and the EP's are cheaper. Even so...I would strongly recommend doing Stay & Scream to help you get a jump on the houses...
