I stand corrected! Sorry. I thought Black Panther was like Guardians and Doctor Strange- that it would be okay for the FL parks. I thought the characters off limits were those with some presence at IOA.
So can we assume that “Wakanda” will move into AK in the coming years? A follow up announcement after SWL and when Pandora’s newness has worn off and it’s AK’s turn again for big news?
I support the idea of a one clone maximum. If an Asian resort or Paris gets it, then ONE domestic park can have it but not both, and vice versa. If Paris gets something and its cloned in Hong Kong, then it remains abroad, and so on. WDW is getting Ratatouille and TRON clones, so nowhere else...
I'm pretty sure the rope swinging pirate in DLP's Pirates was a Tarzan mold. Since they can't seem to ever leave Pirates alone, maybe he'll be reused in that way?
We've still got almost two years before SW:GE opens....so I would think MV 3D is safe until then. Unless they are planning something that can be a quick swap and open with SW:GE
It just feels like there are so many flex theatre spaces I hope it doesn't become yet another one.
The fact that grand Avenue and baseline taphouse are generic and don't have a character/IP theme attached makes me think this helps integrate Mama Melrose better, and nothing will change with it.
It seems Pandora is being well received....and Star Wars will inevitably be HUGE. So this is probably best as an "in-betweener". It'll more than satisfy those that are easy to please, and those that aren't won't cry too much because of all the other stuff that's happening. Had it come first...
