Btw now they're saying that Roy's whistle is actually a modified (replica) Baldwin whistle, which has rectangular chambers instead of the rounder ones. The whistle on Walter currently is supposed to be the same whistle without the modifications.
As far as I know, the closing of the railroad back in 2018 didn't really impact the overhauls of Walter and Roger, so Roy should not be too impacted itself hopefully.
I was wondering about that, since the locomotive wiki thought it was a Baldwin. I was suspecting that it wasn’t a Baldwin because it didn’t sound the same as Walter's Baldwin; it sounds closer to Roy's American. (EDIT: the wiki did say Crosby).

They’re definitely doing good stuff with the locomotive. Part of me is still wondering whether or not it will get a redesigned paint job like Roger did…
Is there any major differences between the old and new boilers? Also I heard that Strasburg was the one who built the new ones, so I want to make sure that’s correct.
I’m still finding it stupid that they have to close the railroad again after only two years open, but if it’s what they have to do it’s what they have to do. Meanwhile I’m still not prepared to mourn for the Liberty Belle Riverboat. I’m going to miss the whistle exchange between the two steam...
