    The Tipping Point For Change

And in that era where they were wowing people, we didn't have the Internet for so many to obsess about every minute detail and adjustment that happens. We didn't have the Internet for people to push their OCD about minute details and changes that have been happening for decades- you just didn't...

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I'm speculating it's just a timing thing where the new shows have reached a level of testing that they need to take control of some systems for the new show and they use new infrastructure that isn't connected to the old show systems and can't easily be shared; or it's just not worth building...

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Pure speculation but it could be as simple as the laser infrastructure having been switched over to control by the new show systems in both parks. It's likely easier to have them controlled by only one show system at a time.

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I saw HEA tonight and the medallion is highlighted appropriately in pretty much every scene. It has even been animated into a few sequences. It’s not just lit but is represented appropriate to the scene.

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

All of those previous plans assumed a government funded project. This one is privately funded. And since the 528 route is estimated to be over $600 million more expensive they are going for the 417 route. However the latest push for the 528 route may have torpedoed the whole thing again...

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

If I were guessing, this is recording television segments for a 50th Anniversary TV show. That would explain needing the castle done and the start of activities to unwrap the train station. They’d want those ready for a television production

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

My guess is that it’s kicking up the capacity thresholds. If it were cancellations it would not be a sudden thing that impacted all admission types on the same day.

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Well, I had to buy a one-day ticket and call in to figure out a way to pull it off but at least I now have my reservation for MK on 10/1.

    Rise of the Resistance

The practical reality is that there are no good answers. They have a fantastic attraction with stunning demand well beyond its current capacity. No matter what approach they choose some group of people will feel disenfranchised and be unable to ride on any given day. At least with this model...

Dealing with all your camera gear

I actually bought some Ikea kallax storage systems, outfitted them with drawers (for the small bit stuff) and doors on the other segments to protect from dust. Now I have all my gear in multiple difference sizes of those cubes and it's all protected and tucked away. I left the bottom 2 segments...

    Rise of the Resistance

In that spirit, why not limit everyone to one ride per month instead of just singling out Passholders?

Orlando Becoming East Coast Headquarters for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products

Many of you are blindly assuming that everyone in these roles currently will move to Orlando which is an invalid assumption. I’ve dealt with many corporate relocations with companies like Apple and others in my career when thousands of jobs are moved and on average, only about 30% of current...

News Disney will begin reducing physical distancing to 3ft over the next few weeks at Walt Disney World

Everything is a day-by-day change right now but when I rode Safari on Saturday afternoon they were still there.

    Resort housekeeping

And I've stayed at a Marriott property every other week for the past 2 months (3 nights each stay) and not once had housekeeping. Your experience and mine are anectodal and does not automatically represent the entire chain.
