    Strollers?

I echo the poster who mentioned Kingdom Strollers - great service, reasonable price. As for the 8-year-old in a stroller thing... I wouldn't worry at all! Last time we were there, I definitely saw parents pushing kids older than that (while their "stroller age" child was walking or being...

Choosing 2 out of 4 parks

Deciding between EPCOT and AK - I always was a huge EPCOT fan (still am), but I do love AK, too. It's REALLY grown on me. That said, there's a lot more construction at AK right now than EPCOT, so that would be a mitigating factor, too!

Biggest deal and biggest rip off

I've actually got ADRs at Mama Melrose and Hollywood & Vine, because I couldn't decide which would be better. But even though I booked right at the 180-day window, the only options were 2:10pm (lunch) or 4:45pm (dinner). So "unusual times" sounds about right!

    Fast Pass in fantasyland?

You are SO SMART! We did that our last trip (March '15), and managed to ride just about everything in Fantasyland before 7D around 11ish, like you! I remember we rode Small World, PP, Pooh, and the new Ariel ride, and saw Philharmagic. It was pretty darn awesome. (we also did 2 days in MK that...

Is it hard to get these Fast Passes same day?

Looking at your schedule - and depending on what time you plan to arrive at the park - I'd recommend ditching your Pirates FP. We usually arrive around 9:30-10am, and go straight to Jungle Book and then Pirates, and typically the line is 15 minutes for each (I've been told that it's because most...

Should I Fast Pass Dinosaur or the Lion King Show?

Honestly, I wouldn't use a FP for either. We did it for LK last year, and it was a waste of a FP - we could have had just as good of seats without it! As for Dinosaur... it's the one ride in Disney that's traumatized a member of my family; took my daughter (who, for perspective, has called...

Biggest deal and biggest rip off

I've got ADRs for one of those Fantasmic! dinner packages - if you have the Disney Dining Plan, is it included? I thought it was - the Disney website itself seems to indicate that - but then I saw an article on WDWMagic that made me wonder otherwise?

How Much Of Your Vacation Do You Spend At Resort Hotel? Poll

Totally depends how long we're staying and where we're staying. If we're going for a shorter trip (3 or 4 nights, max), or if we're going during a time when swimming isn't likely to happen, then we'll stay at a moderate resort, and it becomes nothing more than a transportation hub for us! If we...

Tell me about a Animal Kingdom Lodge rooms.

The first time we took our daughter to WDW, we drove down - and drove to the parks each day. Actually, we drove to EPCOT each morning and took a bus or monorail over - we simply found that EPCOT was a better transportation "hub" for us that Magic Kingdom or any of the other parks (plus, I had a...

One Week May Be Too Long

We came to this same realization several years ago, when we took our oldest for her first visit. We were there 7 days, spent every day (usually, all day) in the parks, and the pictures from the last day and a half feature our almost 4-year-old sleeping on her dad's shoulder at every opportunity...

    Character Dining

Why? O'hana is one of our favorite dining experiences. (although I'm actually scared to ask this question - I hope you havent' had an O'hana horror story!!!)

How hard will it be to secure ADRs?

My ADR window opened this week, and I had a lot of similar reservations as you. Here's what I found: Mama Melrose: This filled up the FASTEST, especially considering that the reservations aren't at optimal dining times. The best I could do for Mama Melrose/Fantasmic package was 2:10pm - so...

Just curious when people like to get to the parks

We used to get up early for the rope drop, then bust a run to whatever ride we really wanted to get on right away; we've also done 8am breakfasts at Crystal Palace on more than one occasion. But the more frequent our trips become, the less urgency we feel. For us, our kids do better later in...

Dining Itinerary - First WDW Trip!

What age are your children? I do agree, lots of late nights, but if you don't have little ones, that won't be much of a problem. I will say... when I saw your flight arriving at 4:30pm and dinner at the castle at 8:05, I did a little cringe. Are you doing Magical Express, or a taxi/uber? You...
