News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

Universal's two hotels look more Star Wars than the Galactic Starcruiser. 😂 I feel like they are trolling WDW at this point.

News Disney World theme park tickets increase in price for 2025

I love Disney World just like everyone here. I went to the parks every year for 15 plus years. Some of my best memories with my kids are from those parks. I care about what happens to the parks. I can't, however, in good conscience spend money at the parks right now. It may be silly to you...

News Disney World theme park tickets increase in price for 2025

Haven't gone in several years. Many of us do put our money where our mouth is.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

The parks is so open that rain makes it difficult. We love only a few hours away so we get a season pass usually every other year. I went once or twice as a teenager and then started visiting again once I had kids. Visiting there brings back so many good memories. We love the festivals at...

Dolly is a national treasure, and Dollywood is a great park. She usually comes to opening day at Dollywood each year. I have seen her several times at the park. My youngest daughter was gobsmacked when she realized Dollywood was named after an actual, living human. 😂

I also agree with this. My kids are older teenagers who grew up going to Disney yearly. We visited Universal for the first time in 2019, and we all fell in love with it. They are both so excited about Epic Universe and have been following the building progress on social media. They have...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Agreed. It's not a huge victory that Wish has a better worldwide box office. There is a reason why powerhouse football schools don't tear down the goalposts when they eke out a win against a cupcake team they were supposed to beat...they should beat them because they have the name and the...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Soul just wasn't that much of kid movie. It was obviously well-liked by those who saw it, but Pixar is usually targeted for family audiences (adults and kids) so it missed the mark on it's intended audience.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

If you fully read the article you are referencing, it spells out that the $593 million was not in actual spending, but in the "media value" of their cross promotions with other companies. For example, the put Minions stickers on Chiquita bananas. Lots of value for a fairly minimal cost. It's a...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

This is the box office thread. A movie that cost $200 million making $200 million after six weeks in the theater isn't a cause for celebration. It just isn't.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Gross revenue is only one part of the equation, and it's pretty meaningless here. Disney spent more making those films than it made at the box office which resulted in record losses. Many of the other studios don't need to be the "top dog" in order to be profitable because they manage their...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

It's already hit $100 million worldwide so it's well on it's way to turning a profit since it's budget was at $70 million. It's only $2 million behind Wish in domestic box office. Trolls Band Together is almost at $200 million worldwide which is about $25 million more than Wish. Both those...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Migration is trending up so it appears to have legs. I wouldn't count it out. Plus, it only had a 70M budget so it won't take nearly as much to break even.
