Amy's backing out was not her doing. Her parole board would not let her out of the state and that it would have been a violation of her parole.

With all the problems Disney is having with attraction sponsorship, I think Disney is going to do all they can do to keep GM and their employees (or any sponsor for that matter, FedEx, etc.) happy to keep that money coming in.
