On the Six Flags brand: I agree brand erosion is a bigger issue but my point is even to spend marketing dollars refresh the new brand seems pointless since no one associates 6 Flags with the original brand which was uniquely Texan inspired, and it’s likely not a history worth tying themselves...
That and the potential for controversy with the name would leave me to agree. No major park outside of Texas would fly the original “6 Flags” anymore in 2023.
I actually wonder if the new Six Flags brand might not try to sell back the terms of their lease with Warner to liquidate back some...
Look closely at the photo. This almost feels like epic trolling to me, and I’m here for it.
TWDC to SoTS/Splash fans: “You want representation here’s your representation…”
The yams are honestly not super strong in terms of flavor profile and are complimented by other flavors. I’m usually not a huge fan of yams on Thanksgiving but the base of the roux disguised that flavor or at least supplemented it sufficiently for my palate.
I think given the heat outside I...
Tried a few things, as we waited roughly 30 minutes since mobile order was done by noon Saturday. Overall probably the best food we had this trip (we stayed 3 days for OBB).
Top items:
- Muffuletta sandwich - my favorite. The bread was good and olive spread was perfect complement with a...
I’m guessing this will be another lengthy spring refurbishment.
The 3 regular “seasons” of the of the DL haunted mansion:
1) first 4 months of the year - refurb season (what will Kim Irvine add this time?)
2) late spring/Summer season - classic mansion “catch it while you can”.
3) Fall/early...
You describe 100% how I felt initially a followed by my reaction and perspective thereafter.
With anything, we develop an emotional attachment/bond and at one time Splash was one of my favorite rides (though my tastes changed). But in reality it was always a ride that was 1) based on a...
Hopefully the tornado alert system is loud enough to be heard over the sound of the not-so-subtle dog whistle.
It would be nice to see some variation of Disney’s America come to life but I’m just not sure about the location or concept.
Interesting to see... While there is relative party domestically, no doubt MI7 is over-performing internationally as you noted.
As these numbers bear out I still see MI7 struggling to be the blockbuster that Marverick was, even though I saw it and quite enjoyed it. This seems to be performing...
Honestly if it were up to me (once they secure the AS AAs for the archives or a revised retro Tomorrowland show) they should “accidentally” set the whole thing on fire, start from scratch, and build a Shanghai Pirates-style Tiana attraction. Just as long as they don’t let the fire spread to...
Just curious how do these numbers compare when we look at Indy 5 vs. MI7 opening weekends (vs Indy week 4)? I’m asking more hypothetically since it’s too early to project but that would gives us an apples-apples comparison.
For all the bluster I heard online about how MI7 was supposed to “eat...
I’m not sure about that.
It would certainly give a nice “value add” from an engineering/design perspective for the attraction to maintain a cast of simple AAs alongside the grander scale ones… but from an ops perspective assuming they are purpose building new sets/lighting rigs/scaffolding...
