    Buses Going Away or Pay?

Yep. There is no such thing as "free". That being said: I think the problem is that the business eventually forgets that the "free" bit is worked into some other part of the spreadsheet (it's paid for elsewhere) and, because of that, they land on: - start charging for this service 0r - dump the...

    Buses Going Away or Pay?

I'd argue that it wouldn't matter: - When it's slow it's no big deal to have people go through a turnstile and log their magic band - When it's crammed, the line up to the Monorail, Ferry, whatever is going to be crammed *anyway* so showing the magicband won't matter.

    Buses Going Away or Pay?

To be fair: Your parking at the resorts was already built into the price of your stay. ... until it wasn't. I still argue that nothing is off the table. What is still "free" to the customers? Only one thing left there: resort transportation. It didn't used to be that way.

    Anyone dislike the volggers content?

I was watching one of them last night and started wondering: Am I watching this because I don't want to go to the parks? Let me explain: I'm done with the parks. The only one I'd actually like to visit at this point is Tokyo - specifically because it is run by a different company who still...

I like that idea (the Tron canopy over Tomorrowland) That'd be cool.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

I bet 8b was a non-starter because: Customers would have had to travel through Epcot to get to spending and dining over at the Epcot resorts.

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2021 Earnings Results Webcast

Really? Just a few months back I remember hearing that the banks were worried because so many consumers had paid off their debts and, while they still used credit cards, they paid them off each month. That's in stark contrast to the US Government who: "...needs a credit increase so that they...

    Anyone dislike the volggers content?

Another thing with the Disney vloggers: Even the ones who dare to be critical go right back to hocking Disney parks and merch the next episode. It's like 100 videos of, "Disney can do no wrong. Let me show you things that you can buy at the parks!" Then: "Disney added this pay-for feature. I...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

I wonder if the problem is just that it's a bad location. Interestingly, I think it'd probably be big enough for Mission: Space (with just two rides instead of, I think 4 over at Epcot). Outside of something small and spinning, there's not much else that they can do with that location. They...

If you could create or expand a transportation network on property..

Since this is all fantasy: Create an actual transportation hub where everyone would park (except resort guests) and then they'd take the Monorail to the destination of choice (some parks sharing the same line depending on what made sense). The Monorail would also connect each of the resort...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

Yep. That's what separates Disney from other theme parks. Other parks typically clear the old rides/attractions out and make way for new ones. Disney? They'll just leave it there for a few decades until they have a need for the space.

    MSEP coming to Orlando?

I think that the major difference right now is that Comcast/Universal, from what I understand, has a guy who LOVES theme parks, and, thus, that's why you're seeing such huge, positive changes at Universal. I think the last guy who was like that for Disney was Eisner. Before he lost Frank Wells...

    MSEP coming to Orlando?

Sounds like it costs money to put that parade on. Are people still lining up at the gate? I think we're fine. I'm not a huge parade fan. I did like MSEP and, to some extent, Spectro. PTN impressed me and Festival of Fantasy, I thought, was pretty great. All that being said, I don't see them...

    MSEP coming to Orlando?

Let's put on Bob's hat: The MSEP only existed because they needed a reason to keep people in the park after dark. That kept spending on gifts and food up. I think, based on what I gather about Bob, that he's using the MSEP to placate the DL folks who've been complaining about the Magic Key and...

    MSEP coming to Orlando?

Every time we talk about Spectromagic I have to work to keep that song out of my head. It's a bit of an ear worm.
