Dinoland is lagging so far behind Uni's Jurassic Attractions

From what I hear, the whole land might be carted off soon.

maybe if they dusted off that wooden rollercoaster excavator idea, that would help

You hit it right there. Disney doesn't do anything because it no longer has creative people that care about unique experiences. I know that "Dinosaur" as an attraction is related to the film, but the relation is so superficial that I consider it an original attraction.

In my opinion, instead of tearing out old attractions, Disney should be doing major "plusses" that they market as refreshed experiences. That's what should be done to Dinosaur and I think that Dinorama should be torn out in favor of a rollercoaster. A spiritual successor to The Excavator that travels through a dig site and bone mines to retrieve a portable time travel device that ends up accidently sending the train back in time.

The problem...

Where do you put the characters for a kid friendly area?

Disney Imagineer 1: Hey guys you know that other spot that has that Dino thing and has that big thing..you know the thing with the things kids play on..

Disney Imagineer 2: oh you mean the thingy things surely kids won't pay attention to as it's not a kids land...

Disney Imagineer 1: but, what if we put characters there and not cheap Dinosaur characters instead and make it the new kids land....

I thought there were rumors that it was gonna be switched to Indiana Jones. It would be special. Especially if the based that area of how a real place and have the land be dedicated to animal artifacts, and archaeology. You can do a lot with archaeology and animals with Indy

they would need to do so much to catch up to Universal in terms of dino themed area. Universal pretty much has Dinosaur IP on lock and as much as I love dinosaurs, at this point Disney would have to redo almost the entire land
