I don't know if it happened today, but all the NBA Experience merch on ShopDisney has been scrubbed. Wonder how much of that stuff will end up at the outlets.
They could move that merch to ESPNWWoS...I don't know if it happened today, but all the NBA Experience merch on ShopDisney has been scrubbed. Wonder how much of that stuff will end up at the outlets.
I can't imagine Disney thinks building Riviera was a bad idea.Building Riviera
Because, you don’t have to drag the wife to the swamps of GA when you can instead let her take a look between the other window shopping at DS.Why bother? Gulfstream headquarters is just right up the road in Savannah, GA... 1.5 hours by private jet.

That’s the theory at least. They also could look at a Rolex showroom, or perhaps something more down to earth, like a House of Bijan or a Oscar de la Renta.
They don’t think a lot of these are bad ideas. I have tried to like Riviera but it’s not good. Lacks any real sense of architecture, overlooks a mediocre mid price resort, and couldn’t even be bothered to hide the elevator shafts from the outside. Definitely doesn’t rise to Stargate level though.I can't imagine Disney thinks building Riviera was a bad idea.
Back in the day of the drunkenness and debauchery of Pleasure Island it resembled a strip club without the stripping."In order to create a more timeless, more family friendly, more Disney experience for our guests, the NBA Experience at Disney Springs will become...a strip club."

CBR is not mediocre. Stay there, enjoy it and like it. Some folks don't like the spread out feel I do and the ambiance too. The Riviera is just another high rise hotel with a few accent touches. It really brings down the area. If the thought was it would be exciting and have elegance, well, NO it gets a big fail. They don’t think a lot of these are bad ideas. Please, we are taking Disney here I think the word exotic would be better."In order to create a more timeless, more family friendly, more Disney experience for our guests, the NBA Experience at Disney Springs will become...a strip club."

But why bring up SIN in these environs?Back in the day of the drunkenness and debauchery of Pleasure Island it resembled a strip club without the stripping.
I think the consensus has been that the sales figures have been disappointing and they always seem to have occupancy as compared to other hotelsI can't imagine Disney thinks building Riviera was a bad idea.
I enjoy the riv. Never stayed there and I'd never pay those prices, but I think it's fun. The quick serve restaurant is great tooCBR is not mediocre. Stay there, enjoy it and like it. They need to bring back some form of Pleasure Island...gives the adults a kid-free zone and would take some of the pressure off of the Food and Wine, which has become a miserable experience.Back in the day of the drunkenness and debauchery of Pleasure Island it resembled a strip club without the stripping.
What makes the closure of Pleasure Island all the more infuriating is that there is nothing about Disney Springs that would make the venues seem completely out of place. They’ve also decided to do more SEA which was tied into the Adventurer’s Club. They need to bring back some form of Pleasure Island...gives the adults a kid-free zone and would take some of the pressure off of the Food and Wine, which has become a miserable experience.
