It would be great. The vaccine requirements in France are certainly helping them get more takers.

I don’t think it’s an overall bad idea to maybe consider masks inside while still filling capacity on attractions.

In all fairness, the Mayor of Orange County is asking (since he doesn't have the authority to mandate) all businesses to go back to masks indoors for everyone regardless of vaccination status.

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings says it his official recommendation that people go back to wearing masks indoors in crowded places where they cannot socially distance even if they are vaccinated.
Is there any research showing masks efficacy in regards to delta versus previous strains?
How do we know masks are enough to provide any acceptable level of protection?
This could backfire.
Could have a bunch of masked people in line feeling “safe” only to find out they have a problem.
How many people don’t wear their mask properly?
Do you want to be in line with a delta variant not wearing a mask properly?
I honestly think the only solution as it pertains to Disney is if you don’t feel safe don’t go.
Not anymore. People who are vaccinated will be more upset this time around if masks come back. And I bet more would cancel. The people who would book because of masks aren't going to want to go anyways if the numbers are that bad that masks came back.

That is the same problem we had with the wild type. Frankly, there are certain people (over 65, certain pre-existing health conditions, obese) that should not have been with strangers with or without the mask. Period.
The "wear a mask and you're safe" notion that was widespread (and frankly still is) throughout the world is responsible for a significant portion of not only our case spread but our mortality.
Masks are a single piece of the mitigation puzzle; not a cure. And it's why virtually every mask mandate in our country failed miserably. As soon as we reopened but mandated masks, people went out into the public again and spread the virus. You can quite easily get and spread COVID-19 while wearing a mask.
How we landed on equating masks to vaccines is utterly perplexing and beyond me. There is this notion that a vaccinated person without a mask is the same as an unvaccinated person with a mask. They couldn't be more different in their ability to prevent the spread of disease.
People criticize the "masks don't work crowd" but imagine if we didn't trust masks from day one. People wouldn't think twice about needlessly being in crowded indoor spaces. The mask is what made that possible. Imagine how much distance you would keep from people in a maskless COVID-19 world. True distancing (staying home; not the 6 ft. nonsense) is infallible.
I'm not advocating for lockdowns. I'm advocating for people having a true and accurate understanding of their level of risk. The mask skewed that understanding exponentially in the wrong direction; it still does to this day.

If socially distanced and masked at all I would prefer that over non-masked and breathing right on me.
Exactly.
If you have any concerns about your safety you should not go.
I still find it fascinating that people are concerned enough to mask and social distance but not concerned enough to stay home.

When it’s 300% more contagious?
When I go out in public every day I am accepting the risk per my understanding of the research.
If I felt even the least bit concerned I would be staying in my house.
Masking and social distancing have only proven to slow the spread of previous variants.
It’s also a fact that the non vaccinated among us will not follow the rules anyways.
If you are at risk or have at risk children stay in your house.
Im not saying this in a mean way - do you really trust anyone to do the right thing anymore?
In my opinion you should only leave your house if you are vaccinated and willing to accept the risks of coming into contact with non masked delta variant carrying individuals.

Actually, can we just keep social distancing period??? Please??? I would love not having everybody and their mother constantly breathing down my neck and hovering over me.
Why are you in line at all if you are concerned ?
Just wait until the time is right for you to return.
No one is forcing you to go.

Disney is working on it. The distancing will come naturally when each vacation costs $100,000.

Yeah I don’t understand why people are wanting to be packed into airplanes, theme park lines, fireworks viewing areas etc.
I was kind of hoping that the basics of social distancing would stay!!!
Great idea !!!
Let’s just destroy the entire restaurant industry.
Im sure that won’t have any economic impact.

It's throwing the baby out with the bath water. No one really likes that stuff, but they'd rather it if that's what it takes to get everything else they love back. In reality, the two could financially never co-exist.
Really you don’t understand why?
No one has ever wanted these things.
It’s what needs to be done to keep the business profitable.
You mine as well of said I don’t get why we have airplanes and theme parks.

I don't understand how anything I said has an impact on the restaurant industry?? When at a restaurant, you are sitting down and therefore not bumping into me or breathing down my neck. However, the concept of not standing 6 inches from me to get closer to the ordering station isn't going to hurt anyone. When waiting for a seat, it is possible to wait outside the door or spaced out from me so that you aren't becoming one with me.
I don't have issues with social distancing at restaurants. I have issues with people getting into my personal space at stores and fast food. You can still show there without hoovering near me in some weird mental effort to feel like you are getting through the line quicker..
