"Magic Kingdom Park

Holidays are sure to be enchanting at Magic Kingdom Park, where quintessential decorations will return to Main Street, U.S.A. When the sun sets, special holiday projections will appear most nights on Cinderella Castle, alternating periodically with the castle’s transformation into a Beacon of Magic.* What a great way to celebrate the holidays and the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

Now, talk about an early holiday gift… “Disney Very Merriest After Hours,” a new special-ticketed event, will debut Nov. 8 before all the rest of the festive fun. It will be available on select nights through Dec. 21. The four hours of festivities will delight guests with “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” Disney characters throughout the park, holiday music and décor, treats included and so much more! As with other Disney After Hours events, a limited number of tickets will be sold for this event. It’s held after regular park operating hours, with lower wait times and access to more than 20 select attractions.

Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels."

Some thoughts:

It seems that all the parks will stay open later into the night. They'd have to in order for the 50th "Beacons of Magic" to be lit up.

As discussed in another thread, it seems MK will not have the "D-lights" (Christmas string lights) on the castle.

At MK, for all evening guests, the Castle will alternate between a Christmas-y static image (like last year's COVID display) and the 50th Beacon of Magic.

At MK, the DAH with a Christmas theme is going to take place rather than the Party Night, just like it did for Halloween. The big difference this time, is that DAH-Christmas gets the exclusive Minnie's Christmas Fireworks. Is this in addition to whatever the 50th fireworks will be for the day-ticket guests, or a replacement?

At Epcot, it seems the Candlelight Processional and Storytellers aren't coming back this year.

So this sounds like these nights won’t include fireworks for day guests? I was on board with the after hours events as it has limited negatives for day guests, but now that this is removing nightly fireworks it’s kinda tacky.
Seems possible that this could be in addition to regular fireworks on those evenings. Especially with the MK having a new 50th fireworks show

Turning around a fireworks show isn't easy, and Disney usually passes on that.

However, for a short time, they did find a way to turn around in DHS the Star Wars fireworks and Jingle BAM in one night (that's when both were full fireworks shows).

MVMCP was 7PM to Midnight.
This is probably 7PM to 11PM or 8PM to Midnight. So I guess that's a plus for day guests, but not great for party ticket holders as the day guests will still be there at the start.

Keep in mind the sun sets before 6, so it gets dark early.

It's also probably going to be heavy on the projections. Also, I'm sure they will utilize the projection mapping for Main street.

This also means no evening hours at MK for deluxe guests on these nights.
Imagine booking a deluxe room to take advantage of the evening hours perks and then boom half of the nights are taken up by this event, yikes!
It was probably inevitable but still...

Evening hours were not going to be every night at the MK.

They are going to be on select nights at select parks.

Make of that what you will.
